Here's why :) This was the last youtube video I made. I made it for myself to look back on. The driver is my brother. I love the song. I think of it more like a music video. I think the video is perfect. I watch it about once a month with great pleasure haha. I put subtitles on it cause I knew some people would find it hard to understand.
@@100mostlyauthentic ''i made it for myself to look back on...'' now thats a blatant lie lmao, no one goes to the effort of recording an interview just to look back on :') you couldn't reach any harder. just take the criticism, no need to lie.
Pretty much haha. Had pretty good time making this video though :P How's this, on youtube the original video got 32 views and on Facebook it got 110,000! I can't figure this stuff out!
Anyone else get the feeling most of those comments are from guys who don't even have a license or car but would wrap their Dad's maxima around a power pole trying to do that lmao.
The Haters are the ones that don't own a car or a license and they probably haven't ever done a drift in the dry themselves the wet is harder less grip. Solid effort bro! FORD POWER ALL DAY EVERY DAY.
The whole drift scene was founded on cheap rwd cars, people didn't have enough to build powerful drag cars, are grippy track setups for time attack so they took their cheap rwd cars and skidded around corners, cheapo rwd cars represent the truest form of drifting!
scottjinx same lad! Over in Ireland boys be drifting 150hp cars 318 is200s stuff like that anything rwd they’ll drift there’s a video of a boy doing donouts in 518!
A bunch of silly commentors need to retake science class, you can break rear traction in a 1987 Accord, you don't need huge power to do it. Definitely impressive, holding such nice slides on an open diff and consistently initiating without a handbrake or a clutch though, well done indeed.
Everybody commenting about the wet track has obviously never been to a track, or they'd know that wet pavement is like 95% as grippy as dry pavement, provided it hasn't JUST started raining.
Why you gotta get racist, bro? lol Both Ford and Holden have made some epic cars, they've both also made some utter fkn shitboxes. A good car's a good car, simple.
hearing those comments is so funny, i brought and xr6 and was shocked at how well they skid, i converted a mate from holden to ford just from a skid and the shred tires like nothing aswell, dope video man keep up the good work
I usually find that anyone who shits on BA/BF Falcons have never actually owned one. The barra engines in those things are bullet proof and the rest you can replace/upgrade with literally one arm if you need to (check out Scott Van Strien's channel). They have their pain in the arse faults like any car (I'm looking at you blend door shaft) but they really are great cars overall.
I honestly feel as if RU-vid is the only platform that has majority of genuine people on the social media space. Twitter and Facebook are just trash and nauseating
i think most asshats that talk shit about this car cannot drive didn't realized this dude drifted automatic stock car needs some serious skills. You cannot just dump the clutch to let that power surge and lose traction, instead he is weight transferring 4 wheel drift. That is pretty impressive.
Even my friend could do some cool drifts with a old Mercedes 190 Diesel which are very low power super slugish, the problem is really if you put some wide very grippy tyres it wont even do a burnout, but with shitty tires it will drift.
Just goes to show that ya dont need to make up for a lack of power by cambering the rear wheels excessively, fitting a hairdryer and spending a fuck load of money to achieve a result like this. All ya has to do is spend $400 on a decent car than can produce a relatively good amount of hp buy itself and has the torque to back it up. Good on ya mate!
That`s friggin awesome. Just the stuff I love. He has proven to all the wanna be`s that you don`t need the mega dollar stuff. All you need is the desire and a bit of talent.
Hell I used to drift a 02 zx2 around the back 40 of FT Campbell, yes thats FWD i know. It wasint purity and it didint slide all that well but I made that POS do it with the huge set of balls I had when i was younger. Because those roads are thin and lots of cliffs into creeks. But It would do a 360 in command I tell you what. But ya, most cars will drift if you force it to. My stock ass 03 WRX will do almost anything I tell it to. But thats a WRX, they like to slide. Now my stinger.... uh im scard to slide that.. its to much money.
Weight transfer is probably the most important skill for initiating a drift. Without it a clutch kick is just a straight line burnout and a yanking on the handbrake just locks the wheels in a straight line. Even when turning the wheels it will take a looong time for the car to get sideways with handbrake or clutch, where as if you load up your outside wheels all you need is a little pop of the clutch to get a drift started. You can also use the throttle instead of the clutch or use a really aggressive Scandinavian flick. What Jack doesn't mention in the video is that changing down to first also induces a little bit of compression locking on that car which he also uses to his advantage.
@@100mostlyauthentic all g, i love my stock au but for drifting on tarmac and not paddock bashing dirt roads theres a few things that make a big difference aye
Falcons rock, dude can I just say when you have interviews, lower the music sound a tad more, was ok with the subtitles but not needed if you just mix it right first.
Shows how many newbs there are on the web. Any RWD with at least 100hp can drift. It won't be impressive drifting but it will get the job done. I used to drift around 20+year old volvos with auto and only 100hp. Though my 160hp turbo Volvo did drift easier. Also, nothing wrong with drifting on the wet. Its fun, good practice without tearing up tires or putting as much strain on the car.
