Doing a special song on Flugelhorn after a special day from work this weekend. Most of y'all maybe familiar with this tune done by the legendary Chet Baker (whom remains a big impact on my playing since I was a teenager taking up the trumpet). It's titled "You can't Go home again" which was written by composer Don Sebesky off the 1977 album title of the same name. Hearing this song made me cried each and every time which made me wanna practice it some more on my trumpet and flugel. Also it's very warm, bittersweet, relaxed and almost lonely. There's been several renditions made live plus recorded in studios per se from Chet and other people. Hard to believe there's no sheet music available unless nowadays you have to transcribe, transpose and stuff at your best interest. Felt a little tired but at least I'm giving my best playing it beautifully.
