I think it has to do with drumming. I grew up playing drums and I still play. It’s a whole other perspective. Also, the club gives you that attack…One of the few sounds,that truly show a keyboard player’s rhythmical abilities.
Whenever I hear clavi on keyboards I always think about Superstition and how everyone struggles trying to recreate the "percussive" part of the intro. I got the same vibes, love it, amazing playing.
I only self study the super basic of notes in guitar. Now i can clearly see how this note sheet works. I can read it in very slow process. But now i understand how it works xD
I saw the thumbnail in my YT recommendations and had already composed my comment, something on the lines of "yeah you can, there's always room for more funk ..." You're right. This funk has crossed the line, what line I don't know, but daaaaammmmn it's crossed a funky line.
