The only reason they smear people with the terms "far-right" or "fascist" is because so many people conflate these terms with Nazi Germany and fascist Italy. Fascism can have its home in any wing of the political spectrum while Nazism was a socialist ideology and actually came from a left-wing position. However, since the Nazis were responsible for some of the worst atrocities committed by human kind, it's recent history and idiots conflate it with nationalism - a right-wing position - simply because the portmanteau Nazi has the word national in it, et voila - you're right-wing, you're a Nazi.

The general use of vocabulary is disintegrating. I had a visit from a drooling man while offering Reform UK leaflets who only knew two words, "Fascist" and "Racist". He shouted both of them about twenty times each then ran out of puff and moved on.
