Hello,
You cannot have everything - Sunday 30 June 2024
Pay respect to Bishop CW Kapenga
Matthew 6:9-10, 12-13 KJV
“After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.”
The world has become a very competitive place that the narrative is “win at all costs”.
The problem is that not many (If any at all) have taken the time to teach what does it mean to “win at all costs”?
Deuteronomy 5:21 NKJV
'You shall not covet your neighbor's wife; and you shall not desire your neighbor's house, his field, his male servant, his female servant, his ox, his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's.'
Understand that in life you cannot have it all.
Be disciplined enough to know that there will always be someone or something better than what you have.
Be content and appreciate without wanting.
Develop self control and learn to be happy for others.
Greed has creeped in and people are self centered.
Matthew 22:34-39 KJV
“But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together. Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”
Genesis 39:9 NIV
“No one is greater in this house than I am. My master has withheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?”
