There's a huge lesson for women in this. This is the kind of guy who will stalk you for years after the "date" so be very careful. When you go on a date do not have him pick you up from your home address. And when discussing personal details do not be specific about where you work. Also, make an excuse to leave immediately if you feel uncomfortable but do not be rude or antagonise him. After chatting online, I went on a date with a guy exactly like this back in 2013 and he has made my life hell ever since to the point where I've had to take out a non-molestation order and get the police involved. He has contacted my employer on numerous occasions as well as standing outside the gym I go to as I'd mentioned that I'd worked out there. He's even messaged my parents on social media telling them he is in love with me and will kill himself if I don't respond. I've had to deactivate all my social media accounts, switched gyms and am always looking over my shoulder.

I've known guys like Skippy, and sometimes you have to completely end the friendship because they just don't know what no and I'm not interested means. Even if you say it blatantly. Those types of guys make me SO uncomfortable and when I was 24, I cut ties with one of these guys because he KEPT trying to pressure and guilt trip me into dating him. He would give me random gifts I didn't ask for or need, and he would always say that he was okay taking things slow and being friends first, but then when we were hanging out with our group of friends, if I got up and went somewhere by myself like the kitchen for a soda, he'd try to kiss me or hold my hand. He even followed me when I went to the bathroom and waited for me outside the door and did it. Had I been younger, I probably would have just went on a date with him because I didn't want to mess up our friendship over rejecting him. But since I was a bit more emotionally mature and able to see that what he was doing was straight up manipulation and harassment, I told him I would never be interested in him in that way and he should find someone else. I had to tell him that on SIX different occasions. The last straw was when we were at my girl friend's apartment where I was spending the night. She was throwing a small party and I was the only one staying over aside from her boyfriend. Most people had already started to leave since it was like 3am, but this guy just couldn't seem to understand that my friend was trying to get people to leave. This guy and my friend's boyfriend were chatting in the living room, my friend's boyfriend was trying to politely get him to leave. I started getting ready to go to bed in the guest room because I thought the guy would get the message and leave. But no. He just told my friend's bf that he was going to go the the bathroom, then he'd leave. He didn't go into the bathroom, he snuck into the guest room where I was in my underwear in the middle of getting dressed for bed. I didn't notice him at first, but when I did, I honestly don't know how long he'd been watching me dig through my bag for my pajamas. I obviously told him to get lost and instead, he pushed me against the wall and started to feel me up over my underwear and kiss me. I kneed him in the balls and screamed for him to get the fuck away from me and that I never wanted to see him again. My friend's boyfriend came in and I guess he thought the guy had full-on raped me because he dragged him out and kicked his ass on the front lawn. Dude got the message that I wasn't going to date him, then he started telling everyone that I led him on and used him for the gifts he was getting me. I never even accepted any after he made his romantic interest known because I didn't feel comfortable with it. I thought if I accepted, he might take that as me being interested. But no. He said I was a bitch that used him, led him on, and that I was f**king my friend's boyfriend. A lot of people believed him, but my closest friends, the ones that mattered, didn't. I still had to deal with the rumors that spread because of that guy, though. And that long-ass story is why I feel REALLY uncomfortable around guys like Skippy. I felt physically sick when he commented about her not wearing a bra.

I met a guy once that reminds me so much of skippy in some ways. It was the first day of uni, I didn't know anyone (except this one girl, but we didn't share the same classes) and they organised a "special day" where they were going to make us play a bunch of games (like speed-dating, and other stuff) to get us all to know each other. So they split us all in random groups and I happened to be with this guy. I gotta say, he was very pleasant and had a nice personality, and I just thought he was really funny, and since I didn't know anybody I didn't mind that he was basically following me around and trying to interact with me a lot at first, figured it would be nice to have a new friend. But I'm the type of person that likes to meet a lot of people, and after a while I felt like eveytime a guy would show some kind of interest in me, or would just talk to me in a friendly way, he would just pop up out of nowhere and try to"sabotage" him, which was kinda weird, but I didn't really think too much of it, as I'm not that interested in guys anyway. But after a whole day of following me around, this guy made a weird joke, where he implied that he was "flirting" with me(?) Wich I didn't really get cause I was being very clear on the fact that I wanted us to be friends (I literally told him that it was nice that we stayed friends, cause I didn't really know anyone there), and I never flirted with him or showed him ANY sign that I was interested, he was the one that was basically following me around. Long story short the man tried to follow me home (mind you, this is the first day that we met) I had to literally tell him to get off at his stop, and he was like "haha, you really want me to go huh?" Yeah man, go to your own house , wtf?. He texted me afterwards, to check up on me, to which I answered. Then the next day, he asked me how my day went and I wanted to answer him later (I was mith my family at the time), but then he called me and tried to face time me, which who the fuck does that? We JUST met yesterday, and I haven't even answerd your texts. I don't even do that with some of my friends lmao. He kept on harrasing me days after with messages that I didn't answer to, because I wanted to be CLEAR that I didn't want anything with him, cause I felt like he was getting the wrong idea. and he just one day said "thank you for ghosting me" again, no answer. Then he spoke to this friend of mine and told her "hey I saw that you follow so and so on instagram, are you her friend?" (Never gave him my insta) she told him that we were friends, cause we went to the same highschool, and he told her that I stopped texting him, and gave her a whole sob story on how I ghosted him and basically told her that he just wanted to check up on me, and to ask me why I don't text him (again, we spoke for 1 day, thought you were creepy, and cut you off. It isn't that deep, move on, people come and go). And when I met up with this girl, she told me this, and I was SO embarassed, cause why the fuck are you talking about me to other people? And I'm not even THAT close with this girl in the first place😭. Long story short, he kept on texting me even weeks after, one day he told me "was it you at X bus stop this morning? I thought I saw you".... I met him a couple of times in uni, and I always run away from him. he always tries to make eye-contact with me, and I always avoid him or straight up run away from him, one time at this event, even thou I was ignoring his staring, and had to distance myself from him more then 4 times, he still approached me in front of everyone and tried to speak with me, I had to dodge the whole conversation in an abrupt way, cause I literally ghosted you? What else do you want from me? And for every guy that's like "girls only think that guys are creepy when they are unattractive" this guys was very conventionally unattractive and he was overweight, but the whole time during that day, even thou there were many red flags, I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, and be his friend. Cause when it comes to making friendships, I don't care about looks tf, nobody should. The truth is that, as a girl, when you're nice to an unattractive guy, he suddenly starts getting super clingy and desperate, and thinks he has a chance or something, just cause you UCKOWLEDGED him. That's why a lot of unattractive men come off as creepy. Most girls just don't want to hurt your feelings, that doesn't mean they want you inside them thou🤣🤣.
