I am setting mine up so I can go mullet or stay 27.5 and plan on giving both a couple weeks at a time to see which setup I like better and in what situations I like them. Doesn't answer your question but this is such a personal choice it is hard to give a good answer.
I think you had to wait that week to get the parts before you could ride the wild cat……….You probably road that thing twice a day since then, so much so that you pretty much know it as a 29er! It is definitely Mullet time!
Ya, I’ve spend a decent bit of time on it with the 29” wheels (here’s my first ride review in case you missed it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z2WTlrEdAJQ.html). It was lacking the playfulness I love on the Middlechild, and I think the smaller rear wheel/shorter chainstays will help with that!
I brokr the rea hub not long ago and i almost bought a smaller wheel to try out a mullet version of my hardtail. Finally i could repair the hub. I advice u to try a mullet, lets see if I'll follow u. 👍

Oh I get it haha, my bad!! Thank you 🙏🙏 Looks like mullet is by far the leading option, so I’ll be making that switch this weekend and should have a video up with my thoughts on it in a couple weeks!
