I’ve collected all of the Ascencia issues and did not send my coupons in because I didn’t want to damage the comics. Boy, did I screw up! I love the series, though. I’m still subscribed to this day.

The only book that caught my eye was Wonder Woman Dead Earth #1. I have #4 and always meant to get the first three but somehow slipped my mind. I am backing off purchasing most modern comics (with few exceptions) and now strictly chasing Bronze Age, Silver Age, and Golden Age Comics.

Esposito is very famous for playing anything Disney. I like GCE, just see him way too much lately. Between him and Pedro Pascal, it's like Disney has no one else to cast to play male characters.

Love the new PJ shirt. I'm more of an artist follower than a writer. Millar, Gaiman, Snyder are a few of my fav writers, but its impossible for me to keep up on everything they do. But I do try and keep up with artists Simon Bisley & J. Michael Linsner... plus Dave Stevens. I need a few more of his covers to say I have them all.

I LOVE Ghost in the Shell. The most recent animation on Netflix missed on that computer animation, but the story was decent. Glad to see another one in the works!

Shout out to Mayhem Comics in Ames Iowa-I got B and D covers of Doom on preorder and my LCS had zero cover A’s on the shelf--a week later I was out of town in Ames and Mayhem Comics had the A cover for cover price despite the hype.

My LCS can't get Ascencia until months after the release. By the time I got all the coupons it was 3 months past the deadline. Kind of think that deadline was crap if the LCS's couldn't even get them on time.

I liked the first few arcs of TWD (up through the prison/Woodbury stuff), and Invincible bored me...but I liked Outcast! And Void Rivals is actually really really good

I usually never disagree with Russ but he's completely wrong about the Ghost in the Shell movie. Once again, what happened was that woke Americans complained about whitewashing when Scarlet Johansson was hired. People are complete idiots and didn't realize that in the manga, she's portrayed with Western features because her prosthetic/cybernetic body is supposed to be a prosthetic prototype that is going to be sold worldwide. This is when an actress with those universal features are needed! But a lot of entitled Americans cried about it when Japanese fans themselves had no issue with it. In the manga the donor is Japanese but the body does not resemble a Japanese individual. In the movie she even went to find out more about her Japanese heritage because of the Ghost in the Shell that caused her to have flashbacks with the memories of her past life. It's the cancel culture that ruined a movie because the movie itself was great! Plus Masamune Shirow himself was invited with producer input. And let's not forget that the opening scene is DIRECTLY from the animated movie itself, along with other portions of the movie as a direct reflection of the anime.
