Everyone knows this place. An iconic wall that became a true trademark of Jerusalem. But what exactly are those stones, and why do the Jewish people gather there to pray? Was this place always Jewish? Who put those stones together, and do they have any connection to the great second Temple built by Herod the great? In this episode, we will try to answer all those questions, we will look at the history of this place, talk about its significance, and I will also share a few secrets connected to this place.

Thank you for the video explaining the significance of the kotel. I was there late September 2019, and I got a distinct feeling of the idolatry that some of the Ultra Orthodox Jewish men exhibited toward the wall. They were kissing stones incessantly, and praying and crying. I don't fault them for feeling sad about the destruction of their temple, but the retaining wall is not part of the temple. I know that the next temple built on that mountain is going to be taken away from the Jews yet again, only this time it's going to be occupied by the Antichrist, and when Yeshua returns to the Mount of Olives that whole area's topography is going to be permanently changed, and the Lord Yeshua Messiah is going to build His own Temple, which will endure for the whole thousand years of His reign from Jerusalem. After that is complete, there will be a New Heaven and Earth that will last forever.

He's totally wrong!!! The Bible says that the temple was in the city of David and the temple had to have a lot of water but there's none on the so called temple mount but plenty in the city of David!!! Jesus said that not one stone would be upon another and he was never wrong and didn't lie!!! There's plenty of videos now that prove that the temple was in the city of David, just Google it!!!

We were there Oct-Nov 2014 with our ten-year old son. My husband also came to Israel and visited the Western Wall when he was ten-years old. It was intensely moving to participate in the generational pilgrimage.

Great to see these thorough explanations of the temple mount. It really helps me understand what the Bible is saying when they describe building or activity around the temple. Also, it's more understandable why there is debate as to exactly where on the platform the temple was.

The western wall is the wall of the old Roman fortress Antonio!!! The temple was in the city of David just like the Bible says!!!! Jesus said that not one stone would be upon another and this guy is saying that Jesus was wrong!!! The temple had to have plenty of water and there's none on the so called temple mount but plenty in the city of David!!! The size of the temple mount is the same size as all the old Roman fortresses!!!! There's plenty of videos now that proves that the temple was in the city of David just like God's word says!!! Just Google it!

People whether they are Christians or Jews or belong to any other religion should follow his sayings in today's age and follow the book of the last prophet that Allah sent. As the book was revealed to all the prophets. So the name of this book is Holy Quran. And we all the people of the world should follow it. This is an excellent presentation about the WW! I would love to learn more! I've been to the Wall and wondered about the reason for the rubble(?) below the visitor access ramp to the Temple Mount. My recent FOI correspondence says you spent covid down time learning the 3-D software. I've read Ritmeyer's Temple Mount book but your work greatly enhances my understanding of the structure and its history. The 3 dimensional presentations, including the surrounding topography, provide such pleasure as I love to learn about every nook and cranny of the Mount, the City of David, the Mount of Olives, and the environs. Helps me relive my time there with FOI. The charts are excellent, as well. Please continue with the videos. Anything on Jerusalem and Israel itself would be welcome. I always check like button before i watch your video--always. I find it difficult to understand how Herod got to the throne because his background, he was NOT Jewish. He was evil. killing family members and got away with his evil. But, he managed to build awesome Temple at the time, in addition to other buildings. For many like myself who may never get to go to Jerusalem it is so wonderful to be there and visualize where ancient historical locations are situation, m\thanks from the bottom of my heart.

I am an evangelical Christian and LOVE Isreal Gods chosen people your channel is unbelievable and such history of your city and people. If only “my” people knew of you and your work I KNOW it would change their view of the land. IT IS YOUR LAND/YOUR CITY/YOUR NATION. He's wrong about where the temple is and about the wall!!! The Bible says that the temple was in the city of David and it had to have plenty of water! There's water in the city of David and nowhere else there!!! Jesus said that not one stone would be upon another so how could there be a huge wall left standing??? Jesus was never wrong and it's impossible for our Lord to be wrong!!! There's plenty of videos now that shows where the temple was, just Google it!!!
