I’ve never purchased a bag based on its “resale value”; no one can truly determine that. I buy bags or any other items solely on the pleasure it’ll give me. I remember buying the Patek Philippe Nautilus watch over a decade ago & all my friends, similarly said “oh, that will not have a great resale value unlike the more classic Patek watch”, guess what!? My Nautilus is now worth over ten times the price I originally paid for it & the “friends” who laughed at my Patek Nautilus, now wants it so badly😂🤣
Price increase is across the board, not just LV. In my obervation, LVs increases are still 'modest'. It's the Chanel one that hurts me most because I can't prep enough before they hit you with that 800-1k increases😢. People complaining it's just canvas blah, blah,but it's gonna be the most hardworking luxury bag in your collection. The more I use my canvas monogram, the more charm it gets as it ages, esp the classic( e.g. Speedy since 1930). Can't really do every day with my soft leathers. I couldn't afford LV canvas when it was waaay cheaper but 2022 I was able to, at a price people that bought before swore not to pay. It's all relative. I have all the canvas bags I wanted, now I'm eyeing the Chanel mini rectangular and a medium Flap but their increases are huge. If you love some canvas, get it now. The resale market is crazier because they're almost the same price as new, don't be fooled.
I really like your video. However, the Margaux, now that is fabulous. It is really really fabulous. I did not consider that it would replace one of my Hermès Birkin’s. It’s much lighter. It’s much bigger. It Carries much much more. I do love my Hermes, they’re probably the most beautiful bags I own, except for my Lanvin clutch from back in the fabulous days of Albert Elbaz. About to the Margaux, you can’t go wrong if you need a workhorse, that soft and squishy and functional useful, and just kind of amazing.
People carrying all kinds of bags and no bags are getting robbed. If you think carrying a Margaux is going to save you, you’re stupid. Be aware of your surroundings and keep your head on a pivot.
I wonder who came up with the idea that the Margaux is the new Birkin? Seriously it looks so boring and generic. Did The Row spent money on journalists and influencers so they could write and convince people that it is the next Birkin? It's just so random. There are other bags that can be the next Birkin. Like hello! Delvaux?! How did they missed out on Delvaux?
Hmm it is really funny to me how a lot of women, buy these expensive bags just to carry it to……. Walmart 😝 or Costco or even the dollar tree…. They wear their ugly sweatpants and put their brand name bags in their shoulders and walk like they were walking in the clouds. It’s hilarious!!! Yes the bags are pretty I love my bags but I don’t wanna wear what other 200,000 women are wearing. I buy quality, no brands
I don’t like that Margaux bag personally. I find it ugly. I do however love my birkin and I don’t think any bag besides my birkin could scratch that birkin itch😂!
I think everyone should buy just Hermès birkin and kelly. It is a gold standard. Get a loan, sell the house or anything to get a hold of the bag. It is the best thing in life for women 😊
Yesterday I bought two handbags for 70bks. One looks similar to LV top handle. I added a scarf on the handle and it looks amazing. The other is a light brown crossbody with hold hardware. They aren’t leather so they won’t last forever but they look good, won’t scratch and suit my style. I’ve purchased more especially bags like my Fossil leather bag and within a day it had 2 scratches on it. The only bags I truly splurge on are Coach bags. They’re tough and last a long time, you can get personalised tags they look great.
I'm sorry but not really I'm not spending all that on a bag I might wear like twice they are not even cute basic at most can find way better for less "cute on a budget 😂
The reality is: if you're rich and famous, your bbkbags bags are seen as a sign of success. If you are just an ordinary worker working a 9-to-5 job, your real bag is likely to be considered the fruit of your efforts.
