I played this game back in the day. I vividly remember that, in the intro animatic to one episode's Question 4our, the number four is shot, and remains dead for the remainder of the game.
I fucking loved this game back on PS1, I can't imagine how hard the Pop culture jokes would be to understand now. Core memory unlocked, good enough excuse to finally hit the Patreon button after years of just watching like a schlub
I sill play the Jackbox Party Packs. Great when you got friends over and over a few drinks. YDKJ can get REAL competitive once you're using the screws and if you find the wrong answer and nobody else does.
This is instantly one of my favorite episodes ever. It FLEW by, it was just so much fun. I'd love it if you'd bring this game back and play it again once in awhile, because all I wanted at the end of this was more of it. Also, that hubris ending? Absolutely masterful comedy. Brilliant work, boys.
This game was a product of the late 90’s and holy *hell* does it show As much as I have a soft spot for it, the shlocky 90’s male standup comedy vibes of pretty much every game is definitely hit or an *extreme* miss depending on the audience. I remember they actually made a live action game show version of it at one point hosted by the late Paul Reubens. They actually did a pretty good job matching the tone and humor stylings of the games they’re based on. Which makes sense considering the show got cancelled 3-4 episodes in.
I just heard the Quakertown Farmer's Market theme on a channel I've been following for like 10 years. What the fuck lol. Did you guys frequent the candy store? Where you could buy candy by the pound?
