I already study perspective and there was always that phrase of "think like the grid was there but without drawing it" but that was hard for me , I could draw 1 character but when i want to add more characters in the scene without a grid It was hard for me, with this method was a lot more easy I always think of the whole grid with all the lines and vanishing points that my head was always confused and to think that you only need to imagine about one point to make it easier. Thanks for the video dude

Speedrun video important points 3:46, 12:08, 14:46. I didn't understand perspective or any way to practice it before this video. I was trying to learn anatomy without understanding perspective. I like how you keep it simple and construct your characters with boxes.

Defo want to see more and gonna look through some other vids, so you got my sub! To add a little anecdote or advice: People worrying about accuracy of their boxes and the need to be accurate always and from the get-go like I did, do not. My teacher used to say: "You are an artist first, not an architect. Make it believable AND interesting.' That saying really helped me.

very informative mate, only maybe you should tell your watchers why your using boxes, when characters are more round in general. As a humble teacher of art myself, I would explain this as follows: It's easier to place your characters right, in the beginning, and to see mistakes more easily. With spheres you would have more trouble.

00:00 🖌️ Understanding Perspective Basics: Perspective drawing starts with the concept of simplifying objects into boxes. This fundamental understanding lays the foundation for accurate perspective drawing. 01:20 🎨 Placing Characters in Perspective: Ensuring that characters in a drawing belong to the same perspective is crucial. This involves considering the placement of each character in relation to the horizon line and vanishing points. 02:21 📏 Horizon Line Significance: Everything in a drawing is based on the horizon line. Understanding its role helps in establishing the correct perspective for the entire composition. 04:22 ✏️ Applying Perspective without Grids: Advanced artists can imagine the vanishing points without actually drawing them. This allows for more fluid and freehand application of perspective in drawings. 06:05 🧰 Consistency in Perspective: Following the grid lines ensures that objects and characters maintain a consistent perspective, creating a harmonious composition. 09:47 📐 Importance of Knowing How to Draw Boxes: The ability to draw boxes forms the basis for understanding perspective. Without this skill, achieving accurate perspective becomes challenging. 13:10 📏 Mastering One-Point Perspective: Practice drawing in one-point perspective by keeping horizontal and vertical lines straight. This helps in creating a strong foundation for more complex compositions. 16:37 📐 Aim for Accuracy: Focus on precision and accuracy when drawing lines in perspective. This practice is essential before advancing to more complex perspective techniques. 19:25 🖋️ Prioritize Correctness Over Perfection: While perfection is a goal, it's more important to prioritize accuracy and correctness in perspective drawing. Practice and development come before achieving absolute perfection.
