When I was in 6th grade I had this CD. At the same time my friend Bryan and I would obsessively play Final Fantasy 7 every weekend that he came over. At one point we got stuck on the Wall Boss in the Temple of the Ancients. We used to play this song every time the fight would start, over and over again, unable to beat that dang boss. He "drove us crazy." Well, just in March my friend unfortunately died at the age of 32. Bry Guy, I'll never forget you and I'm sorry bro, but listening to Britney Spears reminds me of ya! Haha. It's awesome what music can do for you through loss. Back in 2014 one of my closest friends died of a heroin overdose. Although I'll never see him again I can go to his Facebook page and watch the videos he posted of himself preforming his original music. It's so awesome to watch them because his personality oozed through his music and it makes me feel like he's right there next to me playing them like he used to. Much love hope you're doing okay with the loss of your friend I know how hard it can be.
soraninja We are in the minority. Most people think the Stop! remix is better, but the album version has classic vocals and instruments the remix cuts out. :(
It's interesting to note the album was recorded from 97-98, then she began promotions and making mvs afterwards. So it does have that mid 90s guitar feel to it. I guess they wanted to go with the edm sound instead. But compared to the remix this one sounds more 90s pop with guitar. The remix is more edm and jumpy if that makes any sense. But yeah the sound is very 90s compared to the remix. I like both, but I remember the remix more, so for nostalgic reasons I prefer the remix, but this one is still good.

i keep hearing people talk about why pop's been so bad lately. often, i hear that there's just no more talent in the industry anymore, which is nonsense, because compared to the early 2000s, which had j-lo, backstreet, and britney, we have gaga, kanye, taylor, and ariana. so why is 2010s pop so awful comparatively? i think pop started to turn to crap in 2013, when everyone burned out over the endless nights at the club with the black eyed peas from 2007 to 2011 and too lame for 2012's electro indie pop explosion with names like fun and gotye and capital cities suddenly decided they wanted to be lorde, and every producer either wanted to be dj mustard or the swedish house mafia i despise the latter 2, but i don't mind lorde - by herself. i even like her new album, but i have to admit, she may be one of the worst influences on pop music in decades - her genuine sense of indifference to her generation's decadent pop and hiphop is partly responsible for pop going from fake happy to fake sad, which is one of the most confounding and idiotic things to happen to the genre in a long time i blame lorde for all the crap personalities like daya and halsey and alessia cara popping up on the radio - pretentious numb skulls with no personality or emotion, trivially decrying the state of the world with some of the lamest, dullest music i have ever heard anyway, 2014 and 2015 come, and for the most part, the trends reinforce that look and sound of dull pseudo-sadness. then the mother of all stupid years comes, 2016, and what with trump and ISIS and the alt-right and mass shootings and celebrities dropping like flies all over the news, NOBODY feels like partying, and pop, already dull and depressed, GETS EVEN WORSE. how bad can a year get when one of the few musical bright spots is justin bieber? actually, no, he was a dark smudge on the actual bright spot, diplo. also, is taylor swift ... RAPPING? so, i'm still holding out for a year without this kind of music. lorde managed to make an entire album without resorting to this decadence of non-feeling, why can't the pop world?

I love this song. Of the four Britney songs I like, this is my favourite, closely followed by "Criminal". Although...the reason I like this might be because I first found it on a video using a certain pairing from a certain Nicktoon that gets a lot of controversy, but it was also used for the MAIN pairing in the show which involved a girl who was crazy in love and a boy who was so clueless about how she felt.
