SAIGON, VIETNAM - Sometimes you find the best food in where you don't expect it. Today, I am in the backstreets of Saigon (aka Ho Chi Minh City) in a residential area called Bin Tanh. It is around 15 minutes away from the tourist hotspot of Saigon District 1. I eat a delicious $1 Banh Mi before feasting on a plate of Vietnamese summer rolls and deep fried Vietnamese spring rolls. Oh and I always find a surprise, Gary Butler @theroamingcook there too. It is always better to share a local food experience with your friend and it doesn't get more authentic and local in Saigon than this.
