A.B will most likely win the case, and rightfully so. But none of those 4 clowns will be held personally accountable. Their disgraceful behaviour will cost them nothing, except perhaps their dignity after being shamed on here. But since they are all so incredibly narcissistic they'll continue to believe that they were still in the right. 🙄
When I think of the general public having to face this confrontation when it's needless and unprovoked it really makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. There's just No need for this anti-social behaviour. Here's some money towards your costs for suing the officers.
Believed you were a suspect for a crime. Detained you, searched you, couldn't find ID, let you go as they drive off laughing. 2023 policing standards in the UK summed up perfectly right there.
Came to comment on this too. *They suspected he was their suspect who was 'illegally at large' *Detain AB for a search for ID *Don't find ID to confirm/deny he is their person *No further investigation and instantly released.... These cops were just on a power trip and even failed at that.
Quite. And this endless circular argument that happens every time - you don't have to give your details but will be detained if you don't as you're being un-cooperative.
That’s what makes this situation so absurd. If they genuinely thought he was the wanted person that they claimed they were looking for, and didn’t find any ID to prove otherwise, why did they let him go? Either they let someone they thought was a wanted criminal walk free, of they never really thought he was wanted in the first place.

Proberbly 4 little old ladies were being mugs and or burgled whilst these egotistical cops were doing jack-shit in police enforcement. These cops wouldn't get jobs flipping burgers at McDonald's because they don't have the brain capacity to listen and absorb what is being said to them.
They are not understaffed. They are staffed by a largely incompetent and lazy bunch of overpaid idiots. They are over-resourced and even then cannot perform there legal duties, which are not onerous by any stretch of the imagination. The video lasted 26 minutes, add on the time before, when they were chatting in the carpark, and multiply that by 4 "officers". Allow 15 minutes to attend what ever "incident" they were supposed to be attending at Morrisons, and a further 15 to "return to duties" times four of course, and we have four hours of Wasted Police Time. What did they achieve? Nothing. Another shed load of time will be wasted on dealing with the civil complaint they recieve for wasting time and you have a whole days work slipping by. Understaffed "my ar3e".
No headdress, hands in pockets, chewing gum, calling you ‘mate’. The current state of British policing is lamentable. Also, a police officer MUST have REASONABLE SUSPICION to conduct a stop and search BEFORE the search takes place and CANNOT question a person in order to obtain that suspicion. There is nothing in S1 of PACE that gives officers a power to search someone to confirm their identity. The officer’s understanding of S3 of the Criminal Law Act 1967 very poor and misleading to the public. They are so poorly trained and lacking in basic education. Worth a fortune this one, AB 👍
@@krisb-travelthe ‘unlawfully at large’ justification is total nonsense and has no relevance to S3 of the Criminal Law Act 1967. S3 can only be called upon to achieve a ‘legitimate purpose’, as this search is unlawful then the use of S3 and the subsequent use of force is also unlawful. One could argue that the ‘use of force’ in these circumstances is not justifiable. AB should have maintained his right to silence. This is a free country, not a quasi police state.
So in a country where it's not required to carry ID, or produce it on demand, AB gets detained then searched for the sole purpose of finding any ID on him. It's frightening to see this is how some police behave, get this, even when they know they are being filmed.
The very fact that she admitted that the only reason they detained and searched AB was to try and get his ID makes a mockery of the right that we have to our privacy and the right to remain silent. They circumnavigate these rights (read walk all over them) by placing hands on you and try to extract your ID by force. I hope that you win big on this one AB. There will be no re-percussions for these 4 amateurs as they won't have to pay, we will.

So they approached because you were standing there?! Why is it now illegal to stand around in a public place….this country is becoming an absolute joke
The bitter irony is that people who are genuinely acting suspicious - feral youths, pot smokers openly smoking in public, dodgy men driving BMWs slowly past school gates etc. - the police don't want to know, and will get angry and irate if you report it to them.
I now live overseas and it’s unbelievable and don’t think people are aware how dreadful it is, they’ve got used to it. We see it on our news here. Commenting on how bad the Met and police in UK is “in crisis”.

They never tried to get any. Yet, I witness this bullying an unprofessional behaviour from local officers. Four of them wasting resources and time on lording it over people. Wow!
It was taken for a joy ride by an employee. I know they take peoples cars out at night because I found my car parked outside a pub 6 miles from the service station I took it to!
They want to ID you, but state you don’t have to identify. They then detain you for not identifying yourself. After failing to identify you through their search, back to the original situation, you are no longer detained. Yep, makes sense.
That is what’s so ridiculous about this whole thing. If they genuinely believed he was the wanted person, why did they let him go when they didn’t find any ID?
So let me get this clear. These officers believe that they can walk up to a member of the public they choose, make a wild claim (lie) that the person looks like someone they are "looking for" and breach that persons human rights by unlawfully detaining them in order to get their ID knowing that the member of the public has the legal right not to have to disclose their ID if no criminal act is being conducted. And all because that member of the public merely looked at them in a public place... These tyrants need to be reported IMMEDIATELY!
Yup, that's it in a nutshell. Basically they just like making up to laws to try and get information from people they don't like the look of. Nothing changes. Hope they're happy losing the public's respect (not that they care).
This sort of crap happens all over the UK thousands of times day. Police stop/search records prove this. It has been found by Plod to be an effective method of instilling the fear of the Police in the general population.
I would have thought if the person they 'were looking for' was described as wearing a grey top and shorts, while AB was wearing a black top and trousers, then AB was obviously not the person they 'were looking for'. The police here knew full well they were being filmed. How are videos of interactions like this even possible?
Yup that's what the 💩bag Nazi's in fancy dress believe anyway. This community highlights the poor discipline, appalling training and the severe misuse of powers of the UK police. Those who say that auditors are just "looking for a reaction" or "causing trouble" are sadly missing the importance of this work due to the awful mass indoctrination of the public. Misuse of police powers is a criminal offence according to the criminal justice and courts act.
Many auditors are looking for a reaction. That can't be denied. But the police choose to give them the reaction. There a plenty of videos where the police refuse to take the bait, and the interaction ends with no content for the auditor. But there's plenty who do take the bait and thus we have these videos and the auditor makes money.
When you asked for an incident number, the officer said "no because it doesn't involve you". If it doesn't involve you, how can they detain you for fitting the description?
Imagine having someone say "no english" and your response is to ask, in english, "what's your native language?". Fucking incredible quality of people they're hiring.

They made this scenario up. I too have been subjected to a stop for a "missing" person for walking home from the pub. Luckily as I watch these videos I asked if I was being detained and being told "no" I walked off. The tyrants involved followed me for 50 yards before they gave up. So much for the misper!!
Yup - I expect they use this 'missing person' thing a lot. The problem is that it's very hard not to feel intimidated when you're literally surrounded by the fkrs all backing each other up - as they well know, of course
