Thank you Jess for your devotional videos. Today was a hard day, watching my beloved husband of 39 years struggle through chemotherapy side effects. Amazing how a total stranger can help get me through a sad day. I am sure you brighten many lives. I don't comment on videos, but wanted to thank you for helping me, especially today.

Just had to jump on here, & tell you I received my copy of your newest book, obviously "The FIRST-TIME Homesteader", two pages in; and you have already brought tears to my eyes, with your description of the romance of homesteading. You have a beautiful way with words. Thank you for sharing your classroom with us. My daughter is moving to Virginia, so I plan to make Leesburg part of my trip, on my first visit out there. Hoping she will come with, as your influence has helped bring her into the gardening mindset. Anyway, Thank you, for being the beautiful Blessing that you are. I Bless you & you precious family. Oh, also it is very special that you have included so many fantastic photos of your children. 😼

I too was greatly saddened the way the veggies grew in the new high tunnel last year. I thought of this scripture. “For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. If I close my eyes and watch very closely I can see, in this years high tunnel, rows upon rows of delicious, happy flowers singing and praising our God.

I like the idea of the cut flowers - and further to that selling at the market - Alot of the white and cream colored ones would benefit from greenhouse growing as it will protect them from the rain so the flower does not degrade. You could sell in 3 or 5 stem bunches. So many people want the flowers but can't grow them....A bouquet will certainly brighten the home. Great idea.

Hey Jess, it was great to see that you had some ground cherries started. Ironically, I just discovered them about 2 years ago and saved some seed from them... beforehand, I didn't even know they existed! They are not really a well known or talked about plant in my neck of the woods which is the Missouri Ozarks. I planted some of the seeds I saved from them recently in a seed starting mix and was wondering when is the right time to transplant them into a container that has some nutrition. Do I wait until they have a set of true leaves or can I go ahead and transplant them now with just the 2 leaves on? I have to add... that I am sooo envious of your greenhouses, high tunnels, and your entire set up. It's my dream to have something like what you have. What a blessing....and it's great to hear and see how you bless others not only with the extra plants, food produced, etc.... but with your knowledge and time. I've been pretty sick and I can't work as much or as hard as I want to in my garden.. things are moving a lot slower than I'd like but we do have the raised beds now...10 of them.. and about 1/2 of them are filled... it's such a busy time to get someone out here to level off the land for us and deliver the dirt and compost so this has taken me a lot longer than expected as well. I wish I'd started earlier! We are just now working on getting the supplies for the drip system... Anyways, there's always the fall garden too... and since I can only do what I can do.. I need to remember to enjoy the journey because that's really what it's all about.. Thank you again.. so MUCH!

It brings me so much joy to think of that high tunnel filled with flowers. I've been watching you almost as long as I've been watching Garden Answer and it's so curious how you both came to the garden with somewhat opposite purposes, you to grow food and her to grow beauty, but the more I watch you, the more you become like each other. You buying the fountain for Ezra and her growing her many pounds of onions. Also, you both love to dig potatoes! @gardenanswer
