I really like Dragon's Den, at least when they're presented with sensible pitches. The ones they rip into are genuinely appallingly bad. It's not supposed to be a "dream factory" for randos (like Deal or No Deal); it's supposed to be a proper investment show. TBH, I blame the show runners more for deliberately picking inept, delusional fools to put in front of the dragons so they can be humiliated for a laugh.
The sad thing is, I think there would be people willing to go on a date with a look-alike. Not enough to keep a bussiness going on, though. Especially since you couldn't provide a service like that by mail or anything, so your customers need to be found near enough.
