Great 👍 You are in the right place to buy old notes and coins and other stuff from Sri Lanka. His grandfather was the founder President of the Ceylon Philatelic Society and he was a reputable gentleman who was highly respected by his own community and by the majority community. He was one of the oldest Jewellers and the leading Stamps and Coins Dealer of then Ceylon. Very charitable and a very pious Muslim . I was an employee of Noor Hameems in early seventies. I was in charge of the Numismatics and Stamp section and I learned everything about old coins and stamps while working for Noor Hameems and taught some dealers of Fort and collectors how to identify the medieval Ceylon coins.

Davud, how nice to go into the small shops together with you and talk to the sellers and business owners. The owner of the jewelry store is pleasant, friendly, and reliable. When your camera went over the jewelry, I saw a very, very beautiful necklace there that I would like to buy, is it possible to send it to the USA. In addition, there was a jar of fish oil on his table, the exact same jar from the same company is next to my computer. The small restaurant is also unique and offers the audience the familiar and satisfying food.♥♥

Brother Noor is legitimate and genuine, I am from Kandy but gonna make all the way down to Colombo to his shop for some purchases.

You had a one rupee note from 1963, which is the year I arrived in Ceylon, and then stayed for the next nearly 15 years! This gentleman’s family had a shop in Chatham street I think. I always had nothing but hospitality everywhere, just like you. Lovely to see you back in SL.

Usually what happens is that the seller deceives the customer and sells the goods at a higher price. But for the first time, the other side of it happened today. After watching the first video and this video, you can see that he doesn't care about money, so I recommend that you bring him an small antique items you find while traveling in other countries and he will accept it.
