this one went deep.... The soul shrinker card sent shivers down my spine. Since i started the process of quitting weed almost 2 weeks ago i'm having SO many old emotions and ptsd memories appearing from the shadows. i smoked for 15 years, i smoked so so much, it was the only way i could function in the world. Forgive me if i get a little morbid here, i'm not saying this from an emotional state presently, it's just matter of fact, but a constant vision that haunts me is my father's sunken dying face, and it looks so much like the soul shrinker card, even the angle i see it at, it's that exact angle. Today in the shower i couldn't stop seeing it, i just had to cry & cry. i simultaneously imagined the water washing it away from me, i asked it to be released, i don't need to see it anymore. i was just a child when this all happened, so it goes without saying it warped my whole life in heavy ways. it's certainly the reason for the paradigm i struggle with that tells me i can never enjoy friendship or family life. i've had terrible trouble relating to others because i feel so marked by death & grief, i was already a weird kid before that but man, i was totally ejected from /the meta/ of this world after experiencing that loss, i completely lost the ability to have fun or feel lighthearted in any way until VERY recently. Sylvia Plath's "bell jar" analogy is the best way i've ever heard it described, just feeling totally separate from my peers, stewing behind my glass walls. VERY much that feeling of "everyone else gets to have this & that, but i don't" like this reading described. of course this journey has lead me to a lot of profound insights and perspective i'm grateful for now. post saturn-return things are finally making sense. in the past year i've felt more & more that the weed habit just isn't sustainable. i want to be beyond it so badly, i'm tired of dulling myself. But it is exactly like this slow process of peeling the onion, crying it out, learning how to live in a totally different way. allowing myself to really feel things for the first time in my adult life. it's hella intense lol. But i feel strongly guided to do this. Your reading confirmed it, as they often do! My parents JUST mended things as far my sexuality goes but I am starting to see that it’s more than just that. I’m not myself and I’m not happy because I’m blocking myself from expressing it in 3d. I want to get on with it and just start working on my creative endeavors but i know I’m blocked because I’m not expressing myself.
