That's a nice one, thanks for sharing. Good to see a nice survivor like that! My 1981 is a two owner. My grandfather bought it brand new, and I've owned it for 30 years, as of this month.
It’s hard to believe how crazy pricing has gotten on these old square body trucks - one like that with no body work required would fetch quite a sum if he was ever of a mind to sell it! I remember when these were finally replaced by the GMT400 how ready I was for them to be gone after almost 15 years in production, but now I would LOVE to have one parked in my garage!
Wow. Must have kept it inside. I have an '84 Custom Deluxe I bought new in Dec. '83. Paint was coming off in weeks. GM had silent recall on them for the paint. I did not find out about till recall expired. I have painted it twice and put new motor in it in '03. Stick shift [3 spd with granny low], radio quit in '92, air quit in '93. But it starts and runs.
