My parents used to bring us to Disney when we were kids and get these done. 30 years later we brought our kids, and after a conversation with the artist found out it was the same artist that did ours all those years ago that is now doing our kids cut outs. It was an amazing surprise..

I am so glad that Disneyland did not close the silhouette shop there on main street. It is such a rare and wonderful treasure to have. As far as I know there are only a handful of places in the United Sates where this is still done.

We have done these silhouette portraits a few times. My husband and I did one together when we visited together the first time. Them we had them done for both of our daughters when they were younger. Then we had one done for our 30th anniversary! I’m a huge fan of these portraits. They do such a great job with them every time!

We had each of our sons’ silhouettes done there, each when they were very young (about two). They have been treasured memories, hanging on our hall wall ever since. I have mine from when I was three years old! I had them made for each of my daughters when they were both three years old & now we have them all displayed together in my home. I plan on following the tradition when my baby granddaughter turns three! 😊

I did this in August with my children. I adore them! If your kids are wiggly or otherwise adverse to waiting, you can take a photo of their profile. That’s what I did, as my toddler would’ve been a complete wildcard, even if it’s only 90 seconds. 😅

I had my sons done when they were little (they aren't anymore) and about five years ago we added my sister to my mom's and my monthly visits so we had ours done. They look fabulous on one my Disney wall.

Yay!! We did this back in the 70s at Disney World when I was a kid. No tracing back then. It was done just like yours. We still have those silhouettes today.

I went back in March, intending to get my kids' silhouettes done while we were there. My husband wanted to catch the outdoor rides before it started raining again, and by the time we had time to go, they looked like hot messes, so I held off. When I changed my mind, the store was closed. Luckily I was told about just bringing a picture, so the next time I went, I got them done. They are so precious! We're going in ten days, and I think I'm going to have the kids sit for them this time. I'm so excited!

My partner and I discovered the channel early in 2023 and used the videos for preparation for our trip this past December. Nice. I have one of my daughter from her 6 or 7 year old birthday. I like adding a Disney character though. While I was at a very crowded Disneyland today I was thinking of the video styles of you and Dave. I like both styles of video. I love this! We took our kids every year for like five years and got one done so we have their silhouettes as they changed for that first five years that we went to Disney. Just got back from a job interview, where I was asked if can perform under pressure. I said I wasn't too sure about that but I do a wicked Bohemian Rhapsody. Seriously, Chris, I just wanted to say that at WDW they do take a side portrait of you so you don't have to sit still, but their artists still cut the silhouettes out by hand.

Though we went before we knew about the silhouettes, you past video on Genie+ was so helpful. The information you shared helped me to craft 2 days that were a fabulous experience for my family. My parents got my silhouette done when I was a baby, then when I was about 5 years old and I had my baby brother with me. I always loved them so my mother gave me the copies when I was a teenager. Now with a family of my own we have a little Disneyland tradition. We get our childrens silhouette done about every 5-7 years. So when they were 1 and 3, at 5 and 7 and then last year when they were 13 and 15 years old. Best souvenir ever! They look great in a gallery wall with the oval frame and it captures precious memories so perfectly 🥹 I highly recommend starting this little Disney tradition ❤

Oh this is just so awesome! We were just there last week and I wish I knew about this. We took our 3 yr old daughter (who is absolutely crazy about Mickey) and our 7 month old son. My daughter usually gets a balloon and I save the weight (plastic thingy that they tie the balloon to) and write the date that we visited the parks. Thank you for a great video as always. Cheers!

Last time our family was in the park we had a silhouette of all 4 of our kids made and, in hindsight, I wish we had done them individually. Instead We chose to do all in one frame. Still a cool souvenir!
