So true. Thank you. I'm in my 60's, trying to learn to garden in all of the "climate change" learning how to take care of numerous farm animals. It's so fulfilling but rakes so much time, focus, energy. My 95 year old mom is with us but she doesn't remember the "how to to things". The Lord bless and keep you.

Eric, y’all are doing a good job at raising your girls up the way in which they should go. We have a Christian neighbor who has 3 children. He doesn’t really show or teach his children basic living skills. We hire his son from time to time for work around our property. When he’s working I’ll show him how to do any given thing and work with him. Sometimes he gets frustrated with a task, so I’ll encourage him to go on in his frustration. I taught him how to change the oil on the tractor. Now he’ll always know how to change his own oil when he’s old enough to drive. He got very frustrated in building steps and retaining walls. At one point he wanted to give up, so that was a good time for a break in the shade with cold lemonade. We talked it through and after a few minutes we worked together until it was done. I then had him look back at what he had accomplished that day. He was proud of himself and I was proud that he didn’t give up.

You are so on point with your wise, heartfelt godly words/advice. My prayers for my loved ones and mankind is that they not become a sponge and soak up the vile, evil ways of this world, but to be a mirror and reflect the ways of our precious Jesus Christ in their lives. I pray that all fathers be the consistent, godly leaders of their home. It is written in God’s word to be so. God genuinely bless you and your family. We need more people like you. Thank you

Consider these things. Don't fall for the Boomer vs (insert generation) psyop don't fight each other fight the new world order. Learn new skills. Also this isn't just on the boomers. I have seen tons of younger generations want to learn but are afraid to ask out of fear of embarrassment for not having the knowledge. Remember everyone was ignorant until they learned the skill over years of experience. I see this in a lot of cultural things (guns, wood working etc.) Don't be afraid to be the guy in the room who is ignorant as long as you are asking questions and don't be afraid to say can you teach me to do that. Boomers teach any skill you have and pass it on to a younger generation, the future depends on it.

What a message for Sunday mornin coffee ☕️. I’m 76 & raised my two boys HOW to survive in the world. We are country people so it came more natural than for city people. We did a lot of dry camping… no toilets, running water etc… As teens learning to ocean dive for food & hunt. And then grandkids learned this. When last gk was born, he learned how to skin a deer in his onesie Jammie’s & a pocket knife with his dad & uncle. I did a lot of canning & both gk were there helping prep or cook for canning. My oldest gk is into archeology,history & psychology classes. He learns from friends at BLM, police force but he can cook, can & make mead lol! They manage money well & I taught them how to shop for sale items. I’m pretty sure they could make a down fall in our world with extra effort & prayer. I have been blessed ✨💫👵🏻👩‍🌾❣️

If you or your kids go to church and pull your phones out while you're in there supposedly inside to praise the Lord and the good word you need to reevaluate your life choices. Now these are just my thoughts they wanted to put the chip in everybody and they know nobody would take it so they put it in our phones and now everybody has the chip and we are being watched and manipulated every step of the way in our life. Wake up everybody. Thank you for your videos they are most informational & your eye opening conversations speak volumes.👍

It is the most important part of being a parent. They will do what they see. We need to be the best example you can possibly be. Or if we leave them to electronic devices or demonicly liberal ideas in the schools, they will do that.

I love this video so much! After their dad passed, my kids and I bought a motorhome and went camping. Without screens (I committed as well), we learned who we are as a family and it gave me the opportunity to get real and honest with them. I became my very best version, right in front of them, which has been very trust building. I finally moved us to Arizona and we are LOVING life on our homestead. It turns out that I am highly skilled and efficient (I grew up in a solar house in Milwaukie, OR, just minutes outside of Portland, OR). While we were camping, we talked about all the things that we wanted to do that were fun, and all the things that we wanted to be capable of, and it turns out we get to be that and more. This might make you laugh, but I always really loved the little house on the Prairie and I wouldn’t mind my kids having that , exactly. We have a giant solar panel that follows the sun for us, so we’re living pretty posh on the prairie (which is more of a plateau 🤓😁😇. I feel blessed and lucky. I really appreciate your content.

yup...don't have kids but I got to be uncle. One thing I would add is sit down and plan projects with them. Let say they need a shelf. Draw a blue print with them, calc the wood/screws needed, and then build it with them. If you let them build and plan their own wants and needs it will get their brain working on problem solving beyond "go buy it". That applies to most things in life. I know it is faster to do it yourself but getting the young involved will pay off in the end. My father took time to teach me all the basic trades so by my late teens I was doing the electrical, plumbing, heating, well maintenance, ect while he was a full time worker and part time farmer. I am grateful now as I have the skills to build a house/septic field/well and have never had to hire a tradesmen to repair anything(talking thousand easily saved)

I found your channel last year. I enjoy your soft spoken advice and meaningful discussions. I have a RU-vid channel (I’m not here promoting it, just letting you know I truly understand). Like you mentioned, the comments I’ve received lately are very discouraging. It’s as if their goal is to attack not just my advice but my character as well. But a good friend told me once, you must be making a positive impact if others are putting you down. I’m not sure about that but it does help as I delete comments. Sooo. Keep up the good work. Don’t let comments bring you down. And bless you.

Thank you for your honest advice. I went to school for mechanical engineering and I can tell you I felt like I was at a disadvantage because I didn’t have a dad who invested time or skills with me. That never stopped me, but I’ve struggled with confidence in my abilities immensely. Praying that one day I get to be on a homestead and have summer camps where they can build their own projects or play team building sports. 🙌🏻❤️. No one thought Nehemiah could rebuild the city wall, but when your vision is crystal clear and your heart is set on things above no one will stop you from finishing the things God set out for you to do. Prayers for your family and protection from any evil that is rising against yall. ✝️

Im so glad my father didn't include me (as a child)... he was mostly just a drunk. Though, he was also a Sunday school teacher, and I was raised in cultish strict fundie x-tianity. I think he might have taken me fishing a couple times though. Hammering the Bible and Christ (or any religion for that matter) into children hopefully will turn them the exact opposite of the indoctrination. Honestly, seems there's a lot of ppl (probably most, unfortunately) who only have kids for free labor, or so they can hate someone more than they hate themselves. Im super grateful I have no children or family. Honestly, I dont believe the "it's going to be ok" thing. I think our species is so far past the point of no return, we don't really have the capacity to comprehend it. Which is a big reason that resourcefulness is so important. It was around 2013 when I realized "something wasnt right"... I left cities and suburban/mass populated areas permanently circa 2015- however, the only affordable place to live anymore is in the more harsh/potentially lethal climates where any survival (not to mention thriving) is very difficult.
@CountryLivingExperience

I show my kids love, peace, kindness, self control, humbleness, patience, and joy which is Christlike. I don't believe in a "christ" that your father purported to follow because that is not the God of the Bible in any stretch of the term. If you don't think it is going to be ok, then what hope do you have friend? Why just survive? What is the point without hope in something better? The true God of the Bible is my hope and I have faith in that loving God. I teach that to my children.

@@CountryLivingExperience Honestly, "hope" has even become so guilded in this day and age in my observations. It's more like hOPIUM. So addictive, and so played upon by forces that manipulate it to control the masses who can't sue them over spiritual death or numb/dumb atrophy. If there were to be... an INSPIRATION for either and both surviving/thriving... it would be to foster adopt young adults (keyword: ADULTS) to have the resilience to build different lives than the multitude of (deliberately or incidentally) abusive phucktards who had no better or other reason to put them here and arbitrate such suffering than: the condom broke. The war for the souls of the future is for those who, specifically ARE CHILDLESS... and/or have no family. That's where the coming generations have been wrought from. Remember your Bible parable of the seeds cast on different types of earth, and take a look at familial and societal influences, and tell me that this actual crisis is fallacy... I dare you😜
@FuriosaSonoran
@FuriosaSonoran 2 месяца назад
@@CountryLivingExperience Already replied to this once, and the zealots and censors instantly deleted it. And this is also a perfect example of the explanation I gave for your very myopic questions. Evidently. I'm doing screen shots this time so the exact gravity of absurd preferential censorship can be documented. Much like anything of substance... Hope has been leveraged by those who manipulate it to keep the masses under control. While it has been this way for a VERY long time, it has literally NEVER been so divisive. Now, it's hOPIUM and corporations and politicians alike exploit vulnerability to this end- a "happy medium" too large to ever be anything more than dependency folded in on itself. The INSPIRATION (in lieu of anything half as trite as: "hope")... I have, is not much different than yours. It is for the future, a future that even though it won't carry a drop of my trauma (biologically) still deserves something other than the sickly screaming false light of mass population areas. It's in cultivating resilience in a future that is inherently abused and negelcted, and may seek to become APOSTATES, and outliers- as I experienced for some reason. Why just survive...? This is not a definitive permanent state, any more than a "heaven" that's alleged or contrived. Remember that parable from your beloved bible? The seeds cast upon the soil? That metaphor for our future isn't exclusive to... our own genetic material (or children). Look at what's going on in the world. At schools, and in family systems with children- and adults, socially... and tell me straight faced that something isn't VERY wrong, that your kids will absolutely NEVER be able to grok because "you raised them differently". So differently, that they cannot relate to what the majority of other children (our future) are now experiencing. And this leads us to the final TRAP: "something better". Some of the greatest atrocities in history have been authored in the name of "something better". Why TF can't we (you) be CONTENT for gosh sake? I used to feel bad for ppl like you. Because I knew what it was like first hand to always be striving. I don't experience that anymore. If anything, I wish you... rest. And contentment, because the "better" never gives a carp about you. Whatever influence that is doesn't care if your body, mind, and spirit are broken by striving for it. That's NOT my gawd. And if your questions weren't from the parched tongue of dogma and indoctrination, all the devotees would understand how I've responded- and especially: WHY.
