That magistrate judge is a clown. Something needs to be done about him too. Not sure what you can do about a judge though. We need to flood his email with complaints. As far as the carry questions.. I think the permit is needed if you want to travel to another state and carry.

You still need a firearms permit if you want reciprocity in the other states that honor Georgia’s carry permits. My state is constitutional carry but had to keep my carry permit for when I travel

Anybody who audits is a hero in my books. Every auditor will get arrested. Practice these lines ahead of time outloud and be comfortable saying them: 1. Am I being detained? 2. I do not waive my 1st, 4th, and 5th amendment rights 3. I am not resisting. Say each multiple times at the appropriate time. Take care. Have a security plan. Let someone know your plans. Do not film on your primary phone. Phones and cameras are regularly seized and held for no reason other than to hassle the auditor. Any equipment seized by the popo may be infected with malware and tracking software. Back up your videos off site. We live and learn. Watch lots of other experienced auditors.
He is helping as best as he is going to, far from the best of his ability, i sae about 4-6 ppl who need to be flipping burgers, stocking shelves, cleaning toilets, ( or living under a bush!)
This is an audit fail since the guy was telling everybody who you were. I think the best thing would be to confront him to state your business is not to be announced and to freely move as Free press. You got to put these officials in their place a lot quicker and do not let them talk over you as you're supposed to be in control as you're well within your rights

You do know you can file FOIA in person and actually have them fill out the form for you. Would have been interesting seeing how the administrative toady who’ll have identified her without her name.
Even though you don't need a carry permit in GA any more, that doesn't mean reciprocity works in other states without a permit... If you conceal carry in say Fla or Tenn you need your permit from GA to be legal.

9:50 - Georgia, like most states, has reciprocity agreements with states that are not Constitutional Carry states and require permits. That would be one of the reasons to need to get a permit from Georgia.
A few reasons to have a CCW/CWP in a "constitutional carry" state is to not have NICS run for every 4473/firearm purchase and reciprocity w/other states. 👍be safe keep up the great work!

I actually prefer to have the concealed weapon permit in my possession. Mainly for the convenience of leaving a gun shop without delay with a gun purchase. Also it eliminates all doubt when you run up on ignorant civil servants like you are dealing with.

You need a concealed carry weapons permit in order to carry in other states that have reciprocity with Georgia, so it’s not a waste of money. Most states that accept a Georgia firearms permit do not have constitutional carry laws. You of all people should know that.
