Although this is old, I feel like the flood would ultimately unbalance the game or not feel like playing the flood. I definitely wish they'd be a campaign or gamemode type of faction, but I don't think they could get the feel of the flood without either unbalancing the game or ruining the flood.

Yeah, in the book Contact Harvest which takes place before and during the first encounter between Humanity and the Covenant, Johnson had a working Battle Rifle. Even though it is mentioned that it is a new weapon just being developed it seems reasonable that since Halo Wars takes place five years after the book that the BR could and probably should have entered service by then. If they didn't put the BR in because fans mentioned it not existing yet, they shouldn't have given the Spartans shields. That technology didn't exist for the Mk 4 armor. It was first introduced in the Mk 5 which was finished and produced close to the time before the invasion of Reach almost 20 years later.

According to the wiki, the battle rifle entered service in the year 2525. Halo Wars is set in the year 2531.

It is used by marines the medic you get from the third marine upgrade always has a battle rifle

@@Rezzycones know this is very late, but how were you able to do so on Microsoft? I also have halo wars on the Microsoft store but i can’t get the mod to work. I’ve tried the whole ModManifest thing but to no avail.

I downloaded it on xbox but i played offline with no Internet then i disabled the mod when i went back online and i didnt get banned
