Love it...and love the simple binding. I haven't thought of ust wrapping the elastic..I usually put the holes at top and bottom and bind as you would a traveler's notebook. This is marvelous!
I always love watching you make these albums. I wanted to make some last Christmas for gifts but got sick and ran out of time. Since I still have all the supplies I am going to make them and put them aside for this Christmas. Now I have a newer copy on the process to follow. Thanks again.
Super cute book. When Fabri-Tac or 3-in-1 glue gets thick and gooey, add a little pure acetone to it and you're back in business without compromising the integrity of the glue. Hope that helps 😉. 🤩🤩🤩
Hi Deanna! Hope u & Mr Crafty r having a great week so far💕. I love ur journal it came out so pretty & im loving the papers u used especially the gnomes😍. I’m a gnome lover. Love hugs blessings & prayers, Donba💕🙏🥰
I made my own Valentine journal way back and use it to hold my Valentine cards from all the years of marriage. I also collect vintage Valentine cards that I put in there also. It just a lovely table item for the month of February.
This is absolutely adorable!! I so love Elmo. I went through my LGB stash and found one to do a valentine theme, Where Do Kisses Come From. Almost done! TFS all of the instructions! ❤
So cute! P.S., when those solvent glues (like Fabri-tac or my preferred glue, 3-in-1) start getting stringy and hard like that, it's because they've been exposed to too much oxygen and has started to cure. If you've ever had to pull up some paper you've glued with a solvent glues and it's all horrid and stringy, that's why. I even notice that I have to be careful when my bottle gets low and I squeeze some glue out, when the bottle "sucks" back in it takes in too much air and the last bit in my bottle gets all gross. Just something to be careful of, but it's the best glue around for paper (esp thinner paper). Super strong and no ripples!
Your LGB junk journals are soooo cute!! That’s how I found you on RU-vid. I was searching LGB junk journals. It’s funny you said some people get sad taking a book apart. I don’t get sad about that but I just can’t bring myself to destroy the edge of the covers with the gold binding. So I do mine a little differently. I don’t use fabric on the binding. I just carefully take the book apart and try to preserve the gold binding. I secure the gold binding strip back down with a little glue and add my own gold washi tape on the edges of the existing gold binding. Then to hold the book together I just use a hole punch and binder rings. I do love your books, though. Thank you so much for sharing and for demonstrating start to finish. You inspired me 😊. I have this book! I was going to pack it in a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child, but I changed my mind lol. I am going to keep it and make a junk journal! BTW, I have had the same problems with glue- mod podge glue. I just heated it in the microwave for about 15 seconds. Don’t know if that would work on fabric glue.
So cute! I made one today and watched your instructions all afternoon! I have quite a collection of LGB, that I am going to use your tutorial for each journal I make. Thank you!
Super cute! Thank you so much for another great tutorial. I've had the same issue with the glue getting thick. I've used acetone to thin it but now I buy it in smaller bottles so I can hopefully use it up before it gets thick and not have to mess with acetone.
I love this! I have seen you do these before but I have not made one yet. I have no little grandchildren so not sure what I would do with them after I make them. I guess I will have to find people to give them to.....lol. Absolutely amazing. Thanks again for sharing.
Hi Deanna, thank you for the tutorial. Loving the theme and can’t wait to see the final project. A tip for the fabricate glue,if it dries out you can add some acetone to it. Add little by little to get it back to its original consistency. Give it some time for it to mix in.
This book is absolutely super cute :-) I hope you have a special little one to give it to? how many 12/12 pieces of paper did you use and if I understood you correctly, you didn’t cut them down? Tfs God Bless:)
Hi Deanna, I just recently purchased this book with intention of using it for Valentines Day and was wondering what papers you used for this. Was it the Tula and Norbert Valentine collection? Also, where did you get the acetate pages? I think that added a special touch to the journal. Great job!
Deanna love this Valentine Elmo book! Love your other ones also but I want to try and make this one for my granddaughter. I’ve watched the tutorial twice now and I think I can make it with your great instructions. Quick question the Valentine acetate sheets where did you get those from? Thanks for another wonderful tutorial.
Love your channel and ur ideas. I want to make this for my goddaughter. I know she’s going to ask me. What is this for? Can you give me an idea of it’s uses? Maybe she’s too young, 8, for one? Thanks in advance.
