I got stupid lucky and pulled the axe from like my 20th portal, finished grinding the perks and was unsure what to do with it. Just tried this build in my first OPR and was actually able to kill people with it! As someone who's historically just been fodder in OPR matches it felt so good to actually contribute.
Very excited to start playing again, its been a good year and I'm a softy for the Great Axe. Super excited to see it go along with a new weapon that has good range (spices things up). Thank you for the commentary on the fights, I really learn from this type of content and it hypes me up so much more. Thank you!!
Thank you for the written build. I finally got the wizard hat and abyss, and I out my own together. It did good in duels and opvp, but I was getting destroyed in arenas lol.
Man i just love this build, it's so fun to play! I think i'm gonna craft some cheap Shirking heals / Health armor. I'll probably go with reap perk on abyss, i think it's a great way to be sure to finish your foe!
Should try running featherweight chect artifact, heavy head and heavy boots, light gloves and light pants. You get more amour with that setup and still stay light.
Got the Abyss yesterday after over 200 portal closes. I was very happy. This thing absolutely slaps and in combination with the fire staff is absolutely disgusting. Love it
Hi im kinda noob whats the point of those gems that give thrust dmg resistance but also gives lightning damage ? does some of ur attacks do lightning dmg ?
If only The Abyss could drop... I'm farming non stop corrupted breaches, so far got the Wizard hat but no axe yet... Awesome gameplay! Can't wait to try it out myself
it took me 2 straight days but i got the AXE! threw on some gear that helped my build. nothing with shirking heals because im poor AF. jumped into some OPR...........got my arse handed to me XD took afew matchs to get used to combos and the power of this build then all off a sudden i started wrecking everyone got to 15kills half way into a OPR match.........server maintance happened XD iching to get back in! Great build!
If you're having trouble getting artifact drops up your luck. Luck is actually amazing when farming for artifacts because they have their own drop table above legendary. I haven't needed to farm an artifact source more than 10 times to get any given drop and have now collected almost all open world artifacts without farming a single boss more than 10 times. If you don't want to buy full luck gear do yourself a favor and get some Rabbit's Foot off the trading post at least and save yourself HOURS of unnecessary farming.
Lmaoooo zero luck gear (luck is only on bags) finisher, lifetaker, featherweight dropped in the first bag except scorpion sting (it dropped in the third night)
Luck does almost nothing for the artifacts, you get an extra .1% or so. might as well use it if you have it, since it won't be a negative impact but it is not a huge difference at all.
which stoneform version are you running? Also you know you can craft 700 BIS gear from expedition materia? The battle pass provides enough materia for a complete 700 set. Requires nothing but dense materia at the gypsum klm which you shoudl have plenty from salvaging and running expeditions.
I'm just saving some materia since I'll be trying lots of builds before I invest heavy in one! I'm using the healing version of stoneform but only 625 gs
Gotta get that fully upgraded Ahnk amulet with stam recovery, it’ll further increase the heals from SH but reduce normal pot effectiveness, the healthy toast heal is unaffected by it tho!
How on earth they though Ankh could grant 50% healing but not have any practical downsides is beyond me. It should come with at minimum a 50% damage decrease otherwise it will continue to be a crazy artifact.
@@KristoferESO I think I should restate: healthy toast is not negatively affected by the amulet, the divine actually increases it since the mana pot is not healing you. The perk is healing you so it has a split second delay to heal and thus counts as an outside source healing you
I don’t know if it’s intended but my GA charge always stops prematurely if I connect with an ally. It’s very annoying when trying to chase someone. Unsure why it works like that.
Interesting approach! I'm curious how many people will build fire resist vs ele aversion this patch tho, if they stick with aversion then void staff won't help a ton.. but the ace damage would be Godly..
A little late, but do you have an updated Firestaff & Spear? I loved that build video and have been using it since you first put it out. Not good at pvp but it is awesome and super fun in pve too!! 😊
Love this build I'm a returning player and copied this build minus 2 shirking heals as that shit is expensive haha, but I honestly keep getting rolled, I think I'm just bad at PvP at the moment it's been about a year since I last played.. any tips for PvP?
Glass starmetal fire staff, I gotnit from a low level mobs last patch but it looks like youl need to farm a boss in Elysian wilds now to get one! Lookup Blistering Heat on nwdb
btw kristofer you should changed one of the section in your video Fire Staff Mastery instead of Rapier Mastery just fyi i was confused when i saw that!
You are doing most damage with the FS. Ngl firestaff has been overtuned for at least 6 months. If AGS was good at nerfing broken weapons, im not sure abyss would shine that much.
It's unfortunate that artifacts are quickly turning into railroad builds (FS/GA is popping up every freaking where) and we'll once again be staring at piles of worthless gear rewards because either they don't have the good perk combos or that slot is dominated by an artifact. Balance (i.e. nerfs) will be needed which never feels good.
