I really appreciate the detailed content. You answer all the questions. But the same time I shouldn’t have to skip five minutes to get to the actual user guide. Regardless appreciate your work.
Damn what an amazing video. I'm a tech head and just picked up one of these at Best Buy on sale. I had no idea where to start despite knowing tech really well and you explained all off my questions perfectly!
I'll be honest it just depends on what eco system you prefer but I like the nest hub 2 for my bedroom. The sleep sensing is incredible giving me a good idea of how I sleep.
I'm totally immersed in the Echo eco system, but I bought this device just for something to do and it was a total nightmare to set up. I've had it for about a year I guess and all it does is soak up my wifi because I don't use it. Maybe one day when I'm not feeling lazy I'll play with it. All of my automations go through my Echo devices so I'm good.
I just got mine today and I'm struggling a bit. I don't have the app drawer like you do, and can't figure out how to get my tasks, lists or notes to display on the nest hub. I also don't know how to see my calendar without verbally asking. Also, when I ask to see my calendar, it shows me my events but not tasks
Try the steps here under: "set up personalization." support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7029002?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid#zippy=%2Cone-person-using-a-speaker-or-display Let me know if you still have trouble. The app drawer can take a sec to populate sometimes. But you should see it soon.
I got this as a gift in USA. Used it for a while there with WiFi at home. Now I have brought it to India. Even with my newly installed WiFi at home, I am unable to set up with my android phone. I have also factory reset the nest hub, but in vein. Looking forward to right direction/guidance. Thanks.
Our unit inconsistently shuts down 2 or 3 minutes before the hour, and has to be started up again. This is annoying, especially when it interrupts music or discussion in the middle. How do we fix this?
I don’t like at all how Google Assistant works on my Sonos Roam speaker; Often Disconnects saying there was a glitch or can’t reach the internet right now, responds pretty slow, doesn’t play the news in my Good morning routine, and the music requests almost never work. How do I fix it? I’ve factory reset it several times to no avail, issues remain. Now, it’s my first Google Assistant built-in speaker but I didn’t like it at all and I want to get rid of it, and buy a first party Google Nest speaker. Does the Nest Mini or the Nest audio work reliably and entirely errors free or all of them have similar issues? Google Assistant on my Android tablet worked fine
First party Google products are definitely smoother. I don't think anything in the smart home is entirely glitch free. But you'd almost certainly have a better experience than it sounds like you're having now.
@@youjustboughta Google will release the Pixel Tablet, I’m thinking to buy it on the future, seems to be replacing the Nest Hub, but I used a lot Google Assistant Conversational actions, and they will not be available anymore
Doesn't seem like you can keep the calendar on the display screen, but you can readily access the info with voice commands. www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Speakers-and-Displays/Calendar-display-on-Hub-Max/m-p/4936
These are basically an expensive digital clock now. Mine has never even updated the firmware from the last update. Probably the worst home display I've seen. You may as well just use your phone around the house. The fact that the screen times out and default's back to clock makes it useless. You cant hold a webpage to follow or read a recipe instructions or watch a video stream. The screen just goes back to clock or photos after ten mins. Even though there is a setting to turn it off. Nice video though.
It's possible you're experiencing a glitch. If you're using Google Photos to create albums, they should show up for you in the Google Home app as an option for your photo frame. Here are the first party instructions: support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9136992?hl=en
Unfortunately, this video has aged poorly. Google axed many of the most useful features and now it's just an overpriced paperweight in the Kitchen. Your phone is likely much easier to use as the hub's alternative for most of the features removed is just bring up a google search page which is not that great at navigating.
@@RaynenGoliCruzYes, they both are. I just got my first one (I’m an Apple user) and it’s so good I’m thinking about switching to everything Google including Pixel. They often go on sale for $79, highly recommend. Google is Great vs. Apple HomePod that’s glitchy and has no screen.
This product is trash, it was good in 2020 but now is just trash. Never connect, asking for updates and then never connect. Also google home app is no longer doing set up it needs another external app to do it. Trash
Agree, I have a Sonos Roam speaker with both Alexa and Google built-in, I found out that Google Assistant in Mexico currently is very frustrating too, often doesn’t get the commands or play the routines the way it should, often disconnects and the voice reminders are not working at all and nobody talks about it, in 2020 Google Assistant was so, much, better, right now just doesn’t work as it should
I cannot hear the volume on my Nest Hub. Can you help me? I received the Nest hub as a goft for Mothers Day and I am truly overwhelmed. Appreciate your help!
Yep! Check out this support page. support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7071598?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid#zippy= You need to make YT Music your default, and then you can set up your alarm.
Everything innovative of the Google Home is available just in USA, including the voice reminders and the continued conversation, they prioritize USA in a frustrating level of being a limitation; OMG! Google, What about Mexico? And Latin america? We also deserve it, not just USA
