All wood has about the same BTU's per pound when it's dry. Hemlock(15:20) is under rated. Having on average 24.5 million btu/cord, almost up there with d.Fir and many others.

I think you're on the money, I'll add that to a potential part III. I like hemlock too, that load was so straight - made perfect firewood stand wood. Thanks again for watching, keep cuttin'!

I get the idea in Oem vs. Aftermarket parts. Since I am an Aftermarket parts supplier for Mazda's, I get the argument. Most of it is dumb tho 😉👍

I have a bit of an argument Daniel. My 372 clone wouldn't run for crap even after taking it to a guy that's fixed as many saws as Buckin Billy. Put an OEM on and holy crap, different saw. Still waiting to hear from shop y it's locked up. My guy thinks maybe a wrist pin clip broke or came out of place.

@brandonhoad9033 : I get the argument, and in some cases, it's a valid one. Most aftmarket stuff is junk. It would be better if quality control was better. In my case, for the automotive stuff, I do both Oem and aftmarket. When it comes to the aftmarket parts, I am picky at what I send out or heck even the parts I make I have to be picky. If I am not, then the customer will be. Does stuff slip by me once in a while. Yes, it does, and when that happens, I just take care of it, and hopefully, everyone is happy.

china makes some outstanding products the problem is they dont ship it to america for some reason but its getting better. I used to have a friend that lived in congo africa i would have the stuff shipped to him then he would ship it to me all the way back to the year 2000 and the shit was good. I was hoping for the answer for sap on cloths just saying i loved these just saying ones how do you come up with them all

When I lived/worked in Africa, China would sell the most terrible products to African countries. Batteries would be dead within an hour, so that people would keep spending money on their crap. However, China does produce certain levels of quality to be sold to different countries, which I find odd as well as interesting. I make notes to myself when I see/hear certain things. When I have enough, I make another episode. Did you get the hoodie yet? Thanks again for watching, keep cuttin'!

❤ the just saying. If you don't wanna work hard literally everyday and have muscle and joint pain most days, don't be a dairy farmer. Just saying. Poulan? Well, it was low budget. Just saying. My hostility was because I didn't even get one cord cut w it B4 it locked up. Liked it after putting OEM carb on it. I've got 115 acres if ya wanna branch out to the east. No Doug fir though

Glad you liked the episode, Brandon. As the channel grows I hope to be more mobile and check out other wood yards, I think that would be fun and an extension of the podcast. Keep up the hard work on your end, and keep cuttin'!

@@travisdoesfirewood would be interesting, but I have to admit I'm not into podcasts. Have you done one w Daniel yet. He'd be a hoot to have on. I looked up the Texas massacre thing after you mentioned it, mostly cuz that saw didn't look near old enough. Did you see for the early 2000s movies they used a Husqvarna 359, even though the movies were set in the 70s. Details people... Powers out yet again and it's beautiful out. Someone must be charging their mower battery

A collab with Daniel is still pending as we're like 90min away from each other. I know a few folks are wait patiently for that episode - it's coming. No worries on the podcast, it's not for everyone (even though you can listen to them while you work - not needs to watch them visually) OH, my Poulan in the background isn't the same one from the movie...it's just the only Poulan I own. That is interesting about the later versions of that movie's series re Husqvarna and not the original Poulan brand. Hope the storms die down soon so you can get back to work. Stay safe out there!

@@travisdoesfirewood no storms it's beautiful. Sunny , low 80s , nice breeze. The loop I'm on is huge and notorious for outages, usually just a couple seconds. Going on 1/2 hr now and I have to milk. Really don't want to run generator . 90 miles that's not bad. Opposite sides of state would be bad, WA is pretty dang big. And the scenery sucks, Nebraska and Kansas are so much better 😅😅😅
