nice job on wolverine! when did you guys go there? i think we rode in quebec roughly the same time. i went to sentiers du moulin on 3rd september, it was raining a lot the day before, we did one trail (QMG) but it was full of deep mud and huge puddles, very slick overall, so we ended up going to st raymond instead...too bad because the trails here look rad

Man, i rode that big slab feature in july and it really took me a couple minutes before actually going in. It's super scary and you have to commit 100% to the roll

That "Slab City" is basically a naturally paved trail. Probably still smoother than 90% of the streets here

Yuka calls herself "sometimes a scare-dy cat." She's no scare-dy cat. That lady is a frickin lioness. I would never do any of this stuff. Getting on a bike again at my age is probably never gonna happen. Yuka is cautious. She's practical. Realistic. Accessing the risks. These are things a lioness will do in the wild. I would never equate that with fear. Or rather, if fear is involved it's just one factor in a much more complicated equation, and fear can be a useful motivator for determining more rational approaches to the fight or flight survival instinct. Next time Yuka catches herself thinking she's a scare-dy cat, perhaps she should let out a primal roar instead. Make the trail her prey.

So, what's the *absolute least rear suspension* you'd recommend for this ride? I'm selling all my bikes and buying one brand new and I don't want more suspension than I absolutely need (and this ride is perfect!) especially considering I cut my teeth on MTB around Tahoe on a *Full Rigid* Cromo-steel bike. Thanks for the input -

the expert way looks a bit easy to my bike, even not being professional model, i think after i made a run in middle of construction area eliminated my inexperience, fear and doubts if my bike would make it, even more because after some jumps i checked the bike and was in a better conservation than some professional models in that same run. but some spots there i would avoid because my brake is not that good
