I'm Cuban and I can say this about Cuban ladies: intense. Everything they do is from the heart. Don't cross them. They give 100% and expect loyalty in return. Always fun and energetic. Great cooks too

That was insightful. I was in the Marines with this Cuban guy. He was real loud and super energetic . When he spoke he sounded like Tony Montana from scarface. It was awsome!

My friend is Cuban-American. She says that the best way to tell if it's authentic Cuba coffee is if it has lentils in it instead of coffee beans.

I have been at many a party where we're sitting at the table, great song comes on, we literally all stand up beside our chair & dance until the song is over & then sit back down! LOL

This is so funny....My husband, who is German, married a Cuban. Then he married me a few years after his divorce...I am Cuban-Ecuadorian-American from Miami....My husband loved dancing salsa. He loves Latin America and speaks Spanish....we have an adorable son.....looks like a movie star!

People dont eat beef in Cuba very often, they eat por a lot more. Also stuff like potato, yuka, boniato and other sprouts. Some fruits are expensive so are imported goods. Food high in fat is loved by Cubans, thats why they love their beloved ice cream Copelia.

The part where it says "Cubans eat a very basic rice, beans and beef kind if diet". Beef was outlawed for consuming to the public until literally this month. So although people manage to somehow get their hands on beef it is not that common. A more accurate would have been pork or even a fried egg, tortilla.

I LOVE the DBB series. I appreciate all the hard effort, even with the world in upheaval. As the cast member stated, be mindful that YOU went to THEIR island. Be mindful of their history, their culture, and their feelings. My wife is Chamorro (Guam born and raised) native and I am a "statesider". We've been together for over a decade and married just as long. Beauty is truly.... =)
