‘You Lied to Me’ was released as the lead single from Dennis’ sophomore studio album, ‘Into the Skyline’ on August 12th, 1992. The track, and the album it promoted, were produced by Step Pettibone, who also remixed the track multiple times for the single’s release. An edited version of this ‘Sprayed with Shep’s Attitude Mix’ was released on the album itself as a bonus track, and dub versions of the mix were released on US and French variants of the single. The single peaked at number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100 and 12 on the US Hot Dance Club Play chart.
