I read the comments with folks saying this story isn't complete but if y'all look at the cover, notice it says, "stories." It's another of King's wonderful collections of short stories. It seemed finished to me. Just the opinion of another King life long fan! Enjoy!! ❤❤❤❤❤

Not sure how I ran across this, but am now wondering how it is that I've listened to the entire story and still see no comments from anyone else. Where is everyone? I suppose it's just the author's name being involved that has my imagination making a much bigger deal of being the first to comment. I'm actually wondering if any of this will be here when I check back later.

This is a conplete short story. " Two Talented Bastids " 1 of 12 from King's latest collection "You like it Darker" published May 2024. It does have what nay seem to some to be an abrupt end, but never the less that's just how King rolls.

Danny coughlin's bad dream hooked me in like few horror books have ever done. The story is one of the longer in the collection, at probably 150 to 200 pages, but i was hooked from the first page. I was obsessed with finding out how it ended, obviously, i won't give too much away, but it reminds me of the fugitive tv series and movie. The characters are so well written it draws you in which is exactly what a good horror story or any good story or book should do.

I have to get a hold of the whole book. Its times like these when you listen to a Stephen King novel and you realize how great of a writer he is. He just pulls you into his stories and your hooked. I havent read any of his stuff since the horror trilogy.

This is NOT the FULL book -The full audio-book is 20 (twenty hours) and twelve minutes long. Not sure why you tube allows this b.s. 99% of the audio books on you tube are all hacked up.

I have a small library ( around 1500 books) and read more books than listen to audio books. However, I have listened to many, many audio books as well and the only way to know if the audio book is the real deal is to read the book first OR listen to audio books on sites that have nothing but audio books. (Ie: Audible - etc. - I use a very inexpensive site I found over a year ago that was charging 1.99 monthly for as many videos as you want to listen to called zero-avenue - The price is now 5.99 for new members) You Tube cannot allow the full brand new Steven King book for free without getting into legal trouble. That is why almost all the so-called full length audio books are anything but full length. I have also listened to some great audio books on you tube but I go into it knowing they are not the full book. It is easy to check - Just google "how many hours is the full length audio book of "You like it darker" "or any book and you will find how much of the you-tube book has been removed. If it is in the public domain you most likely will get the entire book.

@@sarahallenhumboldt2638yeah and that's kind of a shame because I think stories can be better when authors keep themselves out of the story. Don't misunderstand, like King I am left leaning politically. But with recent events in our world I have moved a little more towards center.. and when that happened I'm seeing the other side with a bit more insight as opposed to propaganda. What I Hear in these slight comments here and there of political leanings make me like him a little less he is literally being derisive toward those who are taking his opposite view. It's not very kind. Especially when you consider that the story doesn't require it.

I don't even know "N". I used to be a big fan, had loads of books, but at some point the writing/stories didn't draw me in anymore and I didn't finish the books. I tried a couple of times but the magic was gone. I've wondered if him quiting alcohol and coke made the difference.
