i know it's a joke, but even though the trackmania games have a lot of physics quirks, never have the devs patched those out i even think they carried some of them to later release of the same environnement
@@minignoux4566 tm 2020 has made like 2-3 updates to ice so probably this map doesn't work anymore. Like after the game released. It was on oct 1 , one year ago. They made it much slower than in the beginning, then they changed it so it was more fair between controller and keyboard and then changed it again to compensate a bit.
Imagine giving this to your little 3 year old brother to play, then disconnecting the controller.... He'd have a memory to live by the rest of his life
Well, that sentence is quite deep and basic. You will never get successful at anything without failing beforehand/afterwards. It's not about the failure or success, it's about what you learn from the failure/success and what can be done about it.
Imagine forgetting to read the level title or description, trying this level for like 45 minutes because you KNOW you can do it, then one time you get up to get a drink but accidentally hit the start level button. You stand there and watch as watch as level clears itself. You were spending this much time trying to beat an auto level, and any input at all messes up the delicate physics.
I think the premise alone has been done before plenty of times, but the way it's incorperated into a track that at least looks like it's meant to be properly played is very creative.

The hard thing is to create the track in the game. But auto-races are very simple honestly, just take a lot of time. Or that is what i remember when i used to made this kind of races in free rider 2
@@mathewdecorse5748 Isn't Trackmania known for having a deterministic physics thus, with the correct/same inputs, the exact same things will happen without any random variation
@@mathewdecorse5748 And this kinda races are easy to do, only tedious. You add things one at a time, test where you end up being, then put something there and repeat until you want to stop.
The amount of thought and effort that went into this map is amazing. Can you image making sure everything perfectly aligned every time you set up a piece of the track? This would drive me crazy.
@@JadonHale It's like making a Rube Goldberg, you only create a new step once the last one is complete and they all work together in the nd, it's really not that brain crunching, it just takes time.
Really cool to look at but not very fun to play. On youtube its great, in the game itself not so much. I still appreciate the effort that must go into making even a short one do.
But really, how long did it took? Its increadible. Are there some programs that could help you? Because doing this by trial and error had to take so fucking long.
This feels like a scene in a cartoon where the incompetent character hops in a car and it starts so they spend the whole time shielding their eyes in fear while things work out perfectly.
Why'd you want to rush home to see her? OOOH. It's that one chance you have to help her out with homework! Her parents are probably too loud. That's the only reason I can think of. (But please don't cheat though, do the work and just help each other, ya know?)

Actually some of these maps (well at least when i played TM Nations a long time ago), it is possible in the right time and in the right moment, give a little nudge other than pressing forward just to make your car behave completely different than its intended performance, making you sometimes be a split second faster and get a world record in that track. Although I must say this is more trial and error than anything else.
@@gobliniarz7393 meaning that despite having a job, the creator put in a lot of time and effort to make it. Whether their job makes their free time very limited or if they are lucky enough to have enough free time to have such devotion and effort put into it.

In case you're wondering how to build these, just start at the beginning, build one thing at a time, test the thing to see if it works & where your car goes or flies-to next, then add the next obstacle ramp or whatever right there that catches it. Rinse & repeat till you fill up the track or decide to stop.
Brain power ? Perseverance, yes, not brain power. The way such tracks are made are obviously by trial & error by actually "riding" the track again and again and placing and moving elements around so they perfectly match with how the car drives/flies. It's not like they plan and build it entirely and then try it with an actual car. So it's not exactly difficult to make, it's just extremely time consuming.

@@viperhd70 It’s definitely difficult to make as well as time consuming I love easily you just dismissed the artist’s effort and declared how precision is some nonchalant thing that falls itself into place as long as you spend a long time working on something. Trial and error doesn’t mean it’s ultimately easy, trial and error is the sheer reason this task is hard. You have to understand which adjustments to make and have a good idea and perception of speed, timing, distance, gravity, depth, etc. It’s trial and error done by someone who also has an above average understanding of the mechanics in other words it can’t be done by a typical brick like yourself. “It’s not exactly difficult to make.” Lmaooooo what a fuk face thing to say.

This is pretty impressive! When you think about it, this is just a really advanced "Hotwheels" track. No control, just letting physics and boosters do all the work =P
I think my favorite part of this map is how it feels like the route you’re taking is like out of bounds, as if by some miracle someone made a track with an accidental auto route through it

I almost feel, like this is a reward level. Like the game takes pity on you at the very end and just gives you this sweet level where you just get to sit back and watch. Cause from my memory of this game… all I remember is my screams of frustration.
@@user-fk8tr5ev8q No because the boost pads are set up in such a manner that the precise speed needed for the jumps are possible. Were you to press anything at all the car would no longer sync with the track. If you accelerate at all then the boost pad will grant too much speed.

As someone who doesn't know anything about this game I didn't even realize the track was literally doing all of the work. It adds another (quite large) layer of skill necessary to accomplish this. Thanks for pointing that out.
I've never watched any videos of this game I've never watched any videos in the genre of this game And yet it still finds a way in my recommended But I'm happy it did
