You'll Be "G-Shocked" New Rangeman GPRH1000 Compared to GW9400 and the GBDH2000 Fitness Watch 

I think must understand Casio's product policy. They build MIP screens, motherboard (with battery & sensors) to the GBD-H2000 lineup. The assembly line works. Why would they make some invest to a new thing, develop a new screen, a new motherboard if they just can rename the GBD-H2000 to GPR-H1000 and sell it again? They made a little modification in the software (added trekking) develop a new case with straps and a job is done. For example: the real G-Shock enthausiasts know the original *GBD-H1000* has a Limited Edition _(GBD-H1000BAR-4)_ and a *Japanese Asics edition* _(GSR-H1000)_ with an external motion sensor _(CMT-S20R-AS)_ . Same watches. Samsung do the same. They sell the same sensor 3 times in 3 different watches. Galaxy Watch 4&5&6 and still sucks. The 4 and the 5 has the same chipset. Companies try the sell the avaiable technical investments as many times as they can. If the customers buy it, they won't invest and develop another.

i like the old one better tbh. what they should of done is keep the same design and update it with new internals and screen.

Out of these three watches I will take the Casio GW-9400. It just works.

The old gw9400 is already iconic g-shock so it's hard to beat that.

The price difference comes down to the finishing touches, metal etc and the mud resistance.

G Shock mineral glass is more than scratch resistant enough.

Good video! I have the old Rangeman 9400. I think I'll go with the GBD-H2000.

The gbdh2000 also uses altimeter reading while in any workout. The gpr has trekking and the h2000 has walking both are the same. Although the gpr has tide graph the h2000 does not have this

I am curious to know how user friendly is this watch in terms of user repair, like replacing the battery once it becomes degraded. Never seen an teardown of this watch, has it been done already? Great review and comparison.

Excellent review thanks! I bought the yellow version and my comments are; the altimeter is massively inaccurate by hundreds of feet everyday and needs constant calibration. The barometer information is set to 'On' but keeps switching off. Strange symbol above the Tidegraph and not figured out what it is. I've calibrated the Barometer and that is now very accurately constant. Compass is also accurate. The GPS is very slow to start. The yellow colour looks fab, but is picking up black stains on the left like crazy (I do wash my clothes!). If anyone has answers to any of these gripes, I'd love to know.

Are you using the new rangeman daily? I also have the yellow one and sadly experienced only after 1 week I can see some discolouring on the band (probably my jeans or my jacket) is there any way to clean it effectively? I should get the black one ffs.. I like the yellow but its get dirty that easily..

I think most of us wanted a GW 9400 with a MIP display, nothing more.

Tidegraph is one difference. The new rangeman also does not have the navigation like the last generation arrangement. Looking at all these things including the weight I have bought GBDH2000. Designwise also gbd is better than gpr. The recent update has added tracking to gbd.. only tidegraph is the remaining difference which they can add if they want to.

yes the old 9400 is kind of retro stylish compared to the new gprh1000, we also own Garmin Epix Fenix and other apple devices already :)) I will take the old one !!

GW 9400 is gen 1 Rangeman, GWG B1000 is gen 2, GWG H1000 is gen 3. If You want to do comparison it is best, to compare GWG H1000 to GWG B1000.

I have the gas h2000 in the neon and black color if anyone is interested I’d let it go for 230 shipped, I miss my Apple Watch for the gps features

Idk why but the whole having to charge the watch like a smart watch and having Bluetooth on it, is just not it at all for me personally

Not a good fitness watch, not a good rangeman, this time im getting garmin instinct 2x tactical... really casio, i would pay even 1000$ for just upgraded gprb1000, making it fitness watch dependent of phone and bluetooth was a horrible choice and its a downgrade in survival watch.

Cas screwed themselves up in putting all that in the fitness watch. However the new rangeman looks the part.

Give me the old school GW9400. The new one has way too many useless features. More of a fitness gimmick vs the old utilitarian design.
