@@niajames603 No, I don't think Jane Nightbirde was part of the Mayyas. She was a contestant on a previous AGT who inspired the Mayyas group to apply and perform a year or a few years later. I believe Jane Nightbirde sang in her performance, but I could be wrong.

@@niajames603 She’s actually a member of this group, The Mayyas. She was only representing Jane. That’s why she’s the center of the entire performance, & covered her hair. To represent Jane, who lost her hair, during her fight with cancer. It’s meant to allude, that Jane is now an angelic being. She inspired thousands with her strength & her words. I’m one of them. I’ve had a tough 8 years, due to my many heart issues. I have a son, & I feel like I’ve missed 1/2 his childhood, because of my poor health. I’ve spent many special occasions, in which I should be celebrating with my family, confined to a hospital bed. It’s hard to stay strong sometimes. My son is my biggest strength, but it’s hard not to allow my depression get the best of me at times. It’s horrible not having control of your body, & having to accept that some things, are out of your control. Before I developed heart issues, I was a very active women. I loved hiking, taking my son to the park or beach, & being active. Becoming a women that cant make it to the bathroom, without the help of my beautifully loving husband. Is not something that was in my future plans. On one of those falls, in which I struggled to get back up. I wished that I was the women I used to be, & prayed for the light at the end of the tunnel. Then I heard Janes beautiful words, “don’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore, before you decide to be happy”. Her words made me realize that I was causing myself this misery. By feeling sorry for myself, & hoping for that one miracle. That would change things, so I could be my old self again. I thought that I needed to be healthier, In order for me to get back on track, & be a better mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, like I USED to be. I was stopping MYSELF, from being 100% happy. So I learned to accepted that I had ZERO control of my situation, & accepted my new “normal”. It’s still hard, but I’m choosing to stop worrying about the things that might never happen, & embracing the present. Someone out there has it harder than me, so I’m grateful for my health, because it can always be worst. I try to live everyday as if it’s the last. Jane embraced that way of being, until it was time for her spirit, to start a new journey. I found this performance very beautiful, specially because I took into account, the meaning behind it.
