I just got mine last week. The reason I bought it was because that I wanted my PS5 to have extra exhaust fan support. I've had my PS5 for 2 years, and I think the exhaust fan is old and starting to make some noise compared to when I first got it. but Until now, I haven't encountered any overheating issues on the PS5, and I don't want it to happen to mine.

Another thing if your friend is making noise or things are making noise. You need to blow it out better.. If you take it apart at the bottom by the power bank, there is slots that get packed up and you can blow those out and then we'll keep it cool a lot cooler

I’ve never seen a single aftermarket cooler that has actually benefitted any console, if anything they make performance worse. Just keep the console clean, new Liquid Metal every couple years is good practice as eventually you’ll get dry spots on the CPU/APU, and you’re good, especially if you’re not running a launch PS5

Best version is the 1200 model and worst version is the 1100 model. The 1000 model is not good but it's not the worst of them all.

You dont really need this thing, the only thing you need to do is to replace the original plates and buy the ones that have the cooling vents, clean your console and thats it.

I just got a PS5 about 3 weeks ago and just played through all of FFXVI. I did notice that the game did have some stutter issues in the more intense Eikon battle scenes but it didn’t overheat. That being said, I clean all my consoles out about every 2-4 weeks with a pancake compressor (you can get one pretty cheap at Harbor Freight and I have had mine for a year and it works great). That being said, if you are paranoid I could see why this would be useful. Key is to make sure it is in a well ventilated area and use a real air compressor, not that compressed air bs. I have noticed compressed air just doesn’t get it clean like where dust gets stuck in the fans and shit.

Mine started overheating 3 months ago. Bought it in May 2021. took off both panels and did some cleaning. still no difference.. It just turns off after an hour game play of any graphic intensive game.

I ordered one on Dec. 19th, 2023 and it's now Jan. 25th, 2024, and just got a tracking number, yet it just states a label has been made. I gave them so much time because they stated they were moving warehouses, but that has been done and I still haven't received mine. I bought this because of this video, but at this point, all I can say about Scry is they are a scam. Can't even get someone from Scry to respond to any emails anymore. It's beyond disappointing that Jimmy backed this because it goes against his reputation as well. Having to go to my bank to file a chargeback which takes time to. After this, I'm pretty sure I will not be buying anything that is recommended on PSReady anymore! Sorry Jimmy.

So after 2 months a couple of dozen emails where over half went unanswered, and three tracking numbers that resulted in there not being a package to go with the numbers. Free extra dust plugs and thumb grips instead of refunding me the money for the thumb grips and dust plugs I paid for. Finally a month and almost exactly 1 week to the day I ordered mine and it finally arrived 5 days after the latest tracking number stated it would arrive. After all that the dust plugs don't fit, the thumbsticks easily fall off and the fan well having only had it for a few hours so far I can't tell you if it's worth the money or not. I will say it was not worth the problems and that I genuinely hope that anyone looking to buy this reads this and takes precaution when ordering one. I highly, highly recommend paying for the shipping instead of adding the super bundle kit to get free shipping as it is not worth a dime, and will just either take up space or just be thrown away. Also if ordering one make sure within 2 days of ordering you have a working tracking number. If not immediately contact Scry and then give them just enough time to reasonably respond, (two days max) and then contact them again and again till they respond. I will come back in a week or two after having the fan and give my thoughts on how it works from the perspective of someone who isn't worried about sponsorship. No offense Jimmy.

The fan works. It pumps a ton of hot air out and has cooled my PS5. I still say if I had to go through the same mess all over it would not be worth it. They still say they have a slim version coming but would count on it making it to market before the PS5 Pro comes out. Plus they removed the blue and silver ones from their pre-order and the red is still under pre-order status after I was told by them they would begin shipping those at the end of 2023. So still fair warning to anyone looking to get one.

cool product, haven't had an overheat since getting my PS5 Feb 2021 but also have already made changes like using plates with ventilation and using a USB attachable fan from amazon. Now this one looks better due to having more fans and mine has 3 main ones but also don't trust buying directly and rather go through Amazon with their great service and returns

Had a PS5 since launch day, never had an issue even in the middle of summer using it all day. I think the only people that have had an issue are people that dont give enough space around the console for ventilation as described in the instructions. Only opened it once to install m.2 so cleaned fan then but almost no dust and that was a year ago.

My PS5 overheated on Stray the kitty cat game PS5 version I cleaned my fan and it did not turn itself off so it could be fans. I now clean my fan every 3 months to ensure its runningb at optimal speed. I live in United Kingdom and when the PS5 slim comes out it make it easier to clean fans.
