I had a good laugh when Billy said "I'm pretending to be a good father"...no doubt he is!!! I love Ernest's little accent...me being Canadian, I'm loving it! Thanks Ryan for taking us on that tour to the brocante! Loved it!
Those shelves are absolutely gorgeous … and would look amazing next to the iron wine cupboard ❤❤ I’d be in heaven if I could shop in a antique shop like that so much amazing stuff everywhere 😁🙌
I wonder if they find such good stuff because the country is older or if it is because the French didn't just toss their things when they wanted a change.
Billy's face when he goes to the brocantes is priceless its like a kid going into a sweet shop 😆. Nice to see Ernest my has he grown up. Loved watching Ryan xx
Thanks for the laughers gents! The shelves were a great find, and quite beautiful for the Convent. Saving the best for last, Ernest is adorable and growing so fast, bless’em✨🙏🏼❤️
Ernest is learning from his Dad. Walks into the flea market (that's what we call them here in the USA) and says "I want that!" LOL!!! That's why I don't shop when I don't have extra funds. If I don't look...I don't want. Thank you for taking your time and sharing with us. 🇺🇸
I went to a few antique and consignment shops today and was fully disgusted that I saw nothing like what you and Billy find! Those shelves are perfect for the convent! They can go anywhere from the hallway to the office to the kitchen!
Those shelves are the perfect scale for your kitchen. Lovely find. I typically love gold bits but not in this case. Rustic is better. I have the same attraction to shiny bits as Billy. Thanks for taking us along.
Really enjoyed seeing the 3 boys antiquing together. Ernest has grown up so much. His reaction to Billy's quip about, "pretending to be a good father," was PRICELESS. Ernest has your number, Billy! I bet he cracks jokes with you, right back! Love the shelves.
Just have to admit what I am most surprised with in this video is how well behaved Ernest is in an antique shop, he not only doesn’t stray from his father, nor whines how bored he is, but actively has fun looking at the fun trinkets of the shop. Billy and Gwen should be proud parents and I dare say, they should gather notes to make material for a learning guide to parenting lol. Cause no matter what nationality, I haven’t seen a child as young as Ernest be so mature to enjoy being in an antique shop! The sad part is I witness more adults acting more childish this day in age but seeing Ernest be so well behaved is something worth praising. Kudos to a loving support family!
WOW, what a score, those shelves are amazing, will look great in the kitchen, ESPECIALLY with beer mugs on it near the bar...and those candlesticks, love the patina on them...but where's the blue truck...?
That was a wonderful trip and a super great find. Loved it when Earnest spotted the car or truck and right away "I want that". I do think he takes after his dad. Thanks for this video, Ryan. You gave us a little bit of time to look as well. Y'all have a Blessed day.
Ernest has gotten taller and still as cute as ever. The shelves are really nice and will look like they belong in that kitchen. I loved all the chandeliers. I'm probably crazy to think it, but I think hanging multiple chandeliers, of different designs across the kitchen and the next room would look awesome. A little bit fancy but still from the time period.
Thanks Ryan, taking the world with you!!! So much fun, my favorite chandeliers and commodes. The brackets and shelves are amazing and sturdy. Will last forever. Good to see Billy having an outing with son, doing what a good father should do. As I always say excellent taste!!!
I never thought I would hear the words Convent and Bar in the same sentence, but I LOVE the idea!!😂 Billy will most definitely pull it off. Thank you Ryan for taking us along antique shopping - I love your visits to the Brocant.
I began my addiction of antiquing and collecting 40 years ago. I supplied several family members with stuff I grew out of. At 74 I'm still shopping and occasionally buying.
Love the shelves! How about moving right hand piece of gold trim down to shelf with left hand piece intact and having just bottom shelf with extra curlicues?
I love those shelves 💚 You guys have so much fun antique shopping! I'm envious of the stuff you get to pick through. Thanks, Ryan, for taking us along! 😘
Those shelves are GORGEOUS and a very good buy too. Just think what a four-shelf unit at Ikea costs and there you are. Beauty and savings. They are going to look amazing in your convent kitchen!
The shelves are gorgeous! Great find! I think the doors with the round windows may be kitchen doors from a restaurant or cafe. I imagine the windows help waiting staff see if anyone is coming before they walk through to avoid a mess.
Ryan and Billy my loves. I love the shelves they will look beautiful in the kitchen. Good to see Ernest. The brocante has lots of beautiful antiques. I love the huge mirrors. Well my darlings see ya tomorrow. Take care and stay safe 🍺🍺🥤😇🕊🌈🇺🇸❤️🎈🙏🌹👍🌞
Love brocante shopping with you two chaps and wee Earnest was a bonus !!! Great purchase with the kitchen shelves and they will look awesome once installed.
I'm impressed with the knowledge you both have. Ryan...you speak French very well....and Billy knows his brocante! I grew up near Paris in the 60's as a young girl. Our weekends were spent digging through le brocante. I remember a place not far from us near St Germain-en-Laye called "La Moulin de Brocante". It was filled with treasures from lost and damaged residences from WWII. Our home was furnished with brocante. I still have some of it. I had more fun as an eight-year-old seeing all the "junk" than I did at Disneyland! You are living my dream. My family has six generations of artists and writers...and I'm a retired interior designer. I always hoped to move back to France to live after I retired but life didn't turn in that direction. Enjoy every minute guys! I'm your newest subscriber!
