Hold the swab away from the mouth for accurate results. Most of the 168 reading possibly came from your mouth. Try it again without talking or wear a mask. Thanks for the video.

There were so many issues with this test. (1) What was the baseline when new and out of the box? (2) He swabbed both earbuds on the first test but not the second test. (3) How much did him speaking into the swab influence the reading?

718 was based on 2 earbuds being swabbed. The second test was based on 1 earbud being swabbed 168. So it knocked off around 191 each on the reading. Overall a good product (does the job) - will require a few UV sessions to bring down those number and be cleaned.

A tip for next time you do something like this, make 3 tests, first straight out of the box, second after you've tried the sound and listened to a few songs, and third after cleaning them. And dont put the swab so close to your mouth while speaking and breathing(or use a mask). I think that would give a more accurate reading. Im not a scientist but it came to mind while watching :) keep up the work!

I saw it was mentioned already but indeed if you keep it so close to your mouth you get a lot of micro organisms from your breath in the sample. When I take patient wound samples I always wear gloves and mask to avoid this.

I think the best scenario these can be used in is when you don't have access to the actual charger such as you are out with friends and you want to share some music with one of them then put it back in the case to make sure you haven't picked up germs from that friend

One thing to remember, the second test, as well as the first one, you were talking. Your spittle possibly shot out onto the swab which increased the bacteria. So perhaps do ANOTHER test while wearing a mask or with your mouth closed or something. You were swabbing and talking and you were pretty close to your mouth. So that test is inconclusive.

I have the FP9s rather than the FN6s. In addition, they can be used with non-bluetooth devices using a connector between the case and a headphone jack. So you can use them wirelessly to connect to airline audio, or a older, non-bluetooth iPod. They're the best earbuds I've ever used.

@@migue.7818 can you plug in a wired headphone and use the mic? The case acts as a wireless receiver/transmitter for a 3.5mm plug. It works for any 3.5mm headphone/mic jack. Your computer, the jacks on airplane seats, TVs... It supports whatever the plug supports. If the plug supports a mic, then yes.

That's called a luminometer. It uses an enzyme called Luciferase to break down ATP into light and the luminometer reads the emitted light. Actually pretty cool stuff! Also the sampling was horrible... 😁

Lou based on your review, I bought 2 sets of these. one for me (black) and my wife (white). I was excited to receive them when they arrived. Normal corded ear phones are when used over a period of time in heat in cold in out door environments sweating.. and so on plus any dead skin which coats them ... can get quite contaminated by the ears let alone if hanging under a tshirt.. Compare that to the old style over head band with foam little pads 80's style. Or guardian of the galaxy style..

I think a more standard level is under 50, under 30 is great and under 10-15 is near perfect. The hospital I work at allows less than 50 but prefers less than 25 on all high touch surfaces and no more than 150 on things like toilet seats. My areas have never tested above 40, usually being below 10 for toilet seats and usually around 2-5 for high touch surfaces only having gotten one 0. These numbers are assuming noone has recontaminated the surfaces by touching them.

In first test you took bacteria from both earbuds and in second one you took them from only one. After first test you cleaned them as well with stick, you should’ve put them in ear again and then take sample from both of them. And don’t talk close to them while taking samples. Just few things that will make this test even more accurate

had these and the sound was mostly flat and not that i mind a flat sound signature but sometimes you like to have some more punch with certain genres. now i fiddled around with the equalizer but the sub bass is almost none existent or it just makes everything else sound muddy... i returned them after a week because i'm a heavy music listener in basically allot of genres and these just not the ones to get sound wise...

I didn’t share earbuds anyway. But I still want to clean them :-) dunno if it’s just me but this video felt so much more like the older videos, really enjoyed it :-)
