Thanks so much Lim! You could use the compressor on either with great results when set properly although I do REALLY like the character that the Helix LA Studio Comp brings to the table, so I would likely go with it for me. Hope that helps :-)
I hit the front of the tonex with gain all the time. I don't think keeping to captured tone is really important at all. Making something that works for you is.
Hi Jason, Thanks for these awesome videos. I just got the Tonex Pedal and also a Tascam Model 12. I connected the Pedal to Channel 2 of the Tascam and im using Focal Alpha 50 Evo as my monitors. My issue is that when I play the guitar the sound is way off in letancy. My setup is. - Tonex connected to pc via USB (not on interface mode) - Guitar connected to tonex input 1 (Mono) - Tonex connected to Tascam model 12 In protools ive assigned the model 12 as my device and the input of the guitar on channel 2. Im getting sound but with huge letancy. Now that I write this I think I know the problem LOL, but some help is very well accepted. Thanks!
Hi Albert, thanks for the message. You will likely need to check your buffer settings in Pro Tools for your audio interface. Let me know if that helps :-)

Hi Jason. You have very good and helpfull videos here. So I was wondering if you made or heard of a good video introducing me on how to use the controls of the ToneX pedal. I don't succeed to find a thorough walk-through the different featured buttons and controls. I mean the basic stuff of what each control does. You speak a lot about the PC version. But I need to see how to use the pedal controls themselves. I bought the pedal because I get very confused by Cubase and such... please help Jason. Thanks
How do I access these settings inside the tonex software to adjust in real time without having to mess around with the physical pedal in the pedal menus and dials?
I believe the Tonex pedal is a fictional device. But it was worth watching the video just for the education on Compression and to hear your little composition at the end of the video.
