Dallas Green and Pink are probably one of the best musical collaborations ever. So glad they got to do an album together to take a break from their regular gigs. Might not be everyone's cup of tea, but as an acoustic guitarist, this is the stuff that inspires me.
I find it amazing Pink can sing all of these duets with a wide range of vocal artists and have their voices compliment each other. As a child, I grew up listening to my uncle play Art and Garfunkel records and Chet Atkins does the Beatles record and Uncle playing these and many other songs on acoustic guitar. 😍😍😍⬅️need one with heart ears. 😆
@@gregorgiebel1377 You’re right! there’s all kinds of different levels and abilities of singers out there, it’s kinda hard to say somebody’s better than everybody whether that be a band or individual achievements or whatever , but it makes people feel good in their hearts to say what they deeply feel and believe that’s OK I guess, but reality is there’s always somebody better they say , but better is a subjective/ relative term, cause everybody’s got different opinions and different likes different emotions and all that stuff
This is one of my all time favourite songs. My husband and I danced to it for our first dance at our wedding. it's incredible how many people fell in love with it when they heard it. My 4 year old nephew made us play it over and over again in the car when we had a night out with him, my 63 year old father downloaded it and played it over and over again and asked how it isn't a mainstream song because of how beautiful it is. My mom has said my dad tears up whenever he hears it and he's not an emotional man. From the lyrics, to the music, do the collaboration of the two voices: everything is just amazing! Love, love, love this song! I can't get enough of it.
OH FOR FUCKS SAKE EVERYONE STOP SAYING SHE LOOKS LIKE P!NK. ALECIA MOORE IS P!NK. This is a side project and yes she is gonna continue being a solo artist after this
I remember my friend Spooner and I talking about Dallas in college. He described Dallas Green as a saint. I still think about that moment. It's also really sweet how smitten Ellen is with Dallas. A true saint from St. Catherine's
I just found this song on iTunes about a week ago and instantly fell in love with it. Alecia Moore (aka Pink) is and always will be one of my favorite singers of all time. She's so underrated and her live shows are amazing to watch.
Love, Love , Love and more Love! What a perfect duo.... Their souls are so powerful! What an amazing Journey these two are on..... I feel the energy and see that light! Thank you for sharing it with us!
I firmly believe that there are no two voices that complement one another better than those of these two right here. Alecia has a very strong, powerful voice. Dallas' is more mellowed out, but still refined. The song feels genuine and honest, like it was written by two long-time friends. The song wasn't written for anyone but themselves and you can absolutely tell with how they interact with each other.
I saw the name on another video and looked them up. Wasn't into it as much as this but that's because I'm a huge Dallas Green fan. Have been for years.
My husband and I called this song ours. He was fighting terminal cancer when this was on Ellen. By the end, we were both bawling. He lost his battle in May 2015……
I LOVE Dallas Green and his music. I was SO excited when he first mentioned this, and then I fell in love with them as a duet when I first heard their song. Dallas about You+Me: "It doesn't sound like you featuring me, or me featuring you, it sounds like us" So happy to finally see and hear him on national tv. I knew it would happen mainly because "Pink" but still, so fantastic.
i think it's mutual, a lot of people actually like her and her voice alot, but not really into her loud music. this collaboration draws people who usually don't buy her music to buy one. :)
tyowongndeso I agree, I mean I love her voice and some of her music but not enough to buy it because it's so pop-like or loud like you said, but hearing her in this type of music, it's lovely.
Vanessa Morrisseau you know, her non hit songs are the best for my taste actually. I love all her acoustic songs in her album, and also some of her B-side songs actually great. and that's why I ended up buy her album, not for the hit, but for other songs. Have you ever heard her song "the one that got away"? that song had made me a fan.
They say everything it happens for a reason You can be flawed enough, but perfect for a person Someone who will be there for you when you fall apart Guiding your direction when you're riding through the dark Oh, that's you and me...
My "81" year old Mom loves "Pink"! There is something to be said for that! Lol "Pink" always delivers! She's a beautiful soul with multi gifts from above! You go girl! 😎✌️
Gotta love Dallas Green! Been a fan of Alexisonfire and City & Colour for years. Been listening to P!nk since I could remember too. rose ave is such a great album brought out by the two of them, love it (:
Dallas Green is my favourite artist in the entire world and I've seen him twice. He sounds amazing with P!nk ugh I want them to go on tour and come to Vancouver so I can witness this amazingness in real life!
She's so amazing, I just love her! There's never any auto tune or lip syncing with Pink and she always puts on a fantastic live performance. I've seen her twice and she was incredible both times!
You and me were always with each other Before we knew the others was ever there You and me we belong together Just like a breath needs the air I told you if you called I would come runnin' Across the highs the lows and the in between You and me we've got two minds that think as one And our hearts march to the same beat They say everything it happens for a reason You can be flawed enough but perfect for a person Someone who will be there for you when you fall apart Guiding your direction when you're riding through the dark, Oh that's you and me You and me we're searching' for the same light Desperate for a cure to this disease Well some days are better than others, But I fear no thing as long as you're with me They say everything' it happens for a reason You can be flawed enough but perfect for a person Someone who will be there for you when you fall apart Guiding your direction when you're riding through the dark And they say, everything it happens for a reason You can be flawed enough but perfect for a person Someone who will be there for you when you start to fall apart, Guiding your direction when you're riding through the dark Oh that's you and me Oh that's you and me Oh that's you and me That's you and me
Just when I thought a duo like The Civil Wars was never gonna come around again we are gifted with this amazing Duo You+Me. Their album is amazing and I hope we get more of both Dallas Green and P!nk together and solo.
What the hell was this - a miracle?!.... I remember when I was younger I felt for her. recent years, I felt for his music. Now they play together, like this. Miraculous.
Man, I'm a huge Dallas Green fan. Since Alexisonfire and just saw him as City and Colour last year while I was 7 months pregnant. This is awesome. Love seeing him on a big show like Ellen!
As much as I love this song as well, I wish, having Dallas on such a huge show, they would have performed a song thst showcased him so much more. This keeps him just beneath her voice and he sings lower register and feel if it were say No Ordinary Love or Break The Cycle, new listeners would get more taste of his amazing talent. This really did make him seem more like backup sadly.
Goodmorning world. They finally found out P!nk didn't get the name "P!nk" when she was born 35 years ago. World, meet Alecia (Beth) Moore, also knows as P!nk. hahaha
She's changed so much but I love both styles :) You know when someone is a good singer when they can change to a totally opposite genre and sound even more amazing :3
I don't think she has "changed". This style has always been inside of her. She has been talking about doing an album like this for the past few years and I'm so glad she finally did it, and Dallas' style and voice fits her perfectly. P!nk can literally sing EVERYTHING and sound wonderful :)
Nina Wagner well, you can't blame people for not knowing that, they only knowing pink from her hit and absolutely have no idea if pink really love folk too.
tyowongndeso hey buddy, I didn't want to blame anyone :) I just wanted to explain that with P!nk, you can always get surprises, she can be a real chameleon at times. I love that she finally did an album like that, although it might not be what people would call "mainstream". But I love that she can finally show off her beautiful voice.
Nina Wagner i love all her ballads, i love almost all her non hit songs, but not her hits except family potrait, perfect, raise your glass and so what. :D all her acoustic performances are what i love best!
Thank you so much for giving me this greatest gift for my enjoyment I ❤️ this song I can listen to this music over and over again my No one favourite happy Easter to you all 👍🏼❤️💜💛💙🌹
I saw this album advertised on Itunes and I was like who's Alecia ?. I played the songs and fell in love. I can recognize P!nk's voice anywhere. Anyways I might buy the album.
If you guys didn't realize that they was pink, then your obviously not true pink fans, her real name is Alecia Beth Moore, pink is just a stage name, a nickname she got from when she was 12. There are so many reasons to P!nk and how she got her name. Look it up. I love her so much, as Alecia or as P!nk. She's amazing no matter what ♥
These posts are funny! Of course it's P!nk...lol. If you couldn't tell by looking at her it should have become obvious hearing her voice. Dallas' angelic voice mixed with her powerful vocals make this my favorite release of 2014!!! Their cover of No Ordinary Love(Sade) is flawless. I am glad Dallas will get some more recognition as he is one awesome musician and has been a household name here in Canada for the past 5 years or so.
