Thank you I have enjoyed this. Most of it is right on. I was born in 51 so I saw a lot of this only one correction. The beehive hairstyle was a 50s hairstyle. In the 60s we went to Lovelocks. I went to get my hair done in 1963 for a dance at school. The lady was older and did not understand the new hairdo a love locks so she did me a beehive. In the behalf, your hair is teased and a big mess to get down. I was so embarrassed but my day was so gracious in the 50s. The girls wore the beehive and Bobbie socks and black-and-white Oxford. Thank you so much for being interested in this time.

Oh those model kits! I spent most of my allowance money on them. Practically lived in the hobby shop. Got real good at doing highly detailed models of tanks, airplanes, ships. Took the hobby back up when I was in my mid 20s by then the kits were so much better, and much more detailed.

I love you tube. I'm a premium member. I'm getting just a little bit tired of being told I'm getting old everytime I come on here. I know that I will be 50 this year, without having to be reminded every damn day. Born 1975

Born in 79, I am not far behind you! One of my 1st cousins is about your age. And, I have 2 older first cousins about 3 years older than me(they were born in 76). A lot of this I don't remember live, I do remember seeing a record player and 8-track player. I don't think they were still being used, though. About the only thing I do remember live(people were still doing/using) is penny loafers. We always have had a nacho dish(Velveeta, beef, and rotel dip mixed for chips), but not parties[just a dish].

In 1984, Chrysler introduced the minivan. Lee Iacocca thought the minivan would replace the station wagon. Unfortunately, minivan popularity has faded with the rise of crossovers/SUVs

LOL, referring to vinyl records as defunct is ridiculous. They've outlasted cassettes, cds, and mp3s. I used to work at Tower Records and laughed at the fact that we didn't even sell records. Now, the only record stores that still exist are the ones that sell vinyl records!

I'll never forget my family's ugly, 1971 gold-colored Chevrolet Greenbriar station wagon with a jet black interior. Yuk. Always at the mechanic's garage for numerous maladies, uncomfortable ride, no air conditioning, and AM radio only - at least ours was. Then one night in 1978 while we were all sleeping, inferior wiring caught the entire car on fire and we watched our local fire department put it out of its misery. Surprised it didn't blow up. 🤗🤗🫡🫡
