If you are going to wave it around violently please make sure the blade is retracted first. I worry a bit.

That's a very good point 😊 After fifteen small cuts you kind of get used to it, until the big one of course 😕

So, you can strip a wire with the indentation in the blade, but only with a new blade.
@rookie.handyman
@rookie.handyman 2 месяца назад
Exactly so, unfortunately. The manufacturing process seems too expensive to make these small indentations on every separate blade, and of course - they force you to buy more new blades!

@@rookie.handyman personally one was enough, nicking the top of the skin is fine but I get enough cuts and scrapes from the sharp edges of the things I'm fixing

It is pretty hard to stay safe when using sharp tools, I try to use gloves as much as possible, small wooden nicks are the worst for me, whenever I’m working with wood I get stabbed by wooden nicks all over my hands

@@rookie.handyman splinters are the worst hahaha, or when you're working with thin gauge cables and the copper stabs you 😭

@CalamityJay-ez2mq right on the spot 😂😂 and you can't use any kind of gloves for working with wires, you are doomed either way 😂😂😂 but, we have to get it done, keep up the good job my friend 👍👍

thats all that little cut out is for? seeps kind of pointless if its only good for that one section

I really tried to find some other use or explanation for this indentation, but unfortunately, that is all there is. And yes, they probably want to force you to buy more blades by making this indentation only in this first section!

@@rookie.handyman Did you also look into the specifics of the manufacturing process? It can be something simple and unrelated, such as some artifact of the cutting machine, or a feature related to the mechanics of handling and storage - not a user-functional feature. See Technology Connections' exploration into the perforations in US electrical plugs.

The wiring stripper is only on the first blade... That's kind of lame....
@rookie.handyman
@rookie.handyman 2 месяца назад
Yes, unfortunately, you have to know where are you gonna use that indentation and keep that blade whole until then, or just have a lot of blades!
@kevintappminville195
@kevintappminville195 2 месяца назад
@@rookie.handyman I'm sure it would be fairly easy to make the indentation on every blade!
@rookie.handyman
@rookie.handyman 2 месяца назад
I think so too, it’s just 2 second longer production process, but they probably want us to use that first blade and then use the next new blade when we need it for stripping, more blades are sold for them 😕
