I grew up in the South of France from the age of 7-13 and lived on mussels! The best way to eat them is by using a shell to pinch the mussels out - you use a shell as your tool instead of a fork! One Christmas we spent 5 days over the Christmas period at The Carlton in Cannes - and I still remember it to this day as it was V special!!! We met a lady who had lived for 40 years!!!

Awwww you initially all looked shattered trying to find the peaceful beach with pizza in your sights , and when you mentioned Port Canaveral it reminded me that I will be stepping on the Wonder of the seas in 2 weeks , all the way from uk 😎 The kayaking looked idyllic and such a beautiful place . Again just to remind you what a lovely pair of uncles you both are , they loved it all . Tho for ya Nick , when eating mussels , you use the first double empty shell as your tongs to pinch the meat out of the others . Yum yum ! The prettiest town , is definitely a sight for sore eyes . I say to myself … what a wonderful world !! Continue making memories . Sending hugs 🤗

Hi Guys, Just catching up on all your latest vlogs now as my son has been in & out of hospital lately & the hospital Wi-Fi & mobile signal has been crap! The colour of that water was amazing, reminded me of being back in the Bahamas. I think this is the best vlog of this trip so far. Going down the river on the paddle boat and the kayak was very scenic and looked relaxing. Even if the lavender was not at its most colorful, it was still interesting to see the lavender fields. And that “prettiest town“ was fascinating as well, with all sorts of interesting streets to explore and beautiful flowers by the side of the roads.

Hey guys, we are watching this just now and already loving it! Have you ever tried a cafe gourmand in France? We live in the Netherlands and can be in france in 3 hours. We go for the day, to shop in intermarche , carrefour, but also to eat and get a cafe gourmand. Its basically a coffee with mini desert samples and around 4 to 5 euro. Sometimes they arent advertised, but every restaurant offers them. Brilliant vlogs and just amazing to watch the memories you are making with your nieces.❤❤ thats priceless x thank you for sharing it with us

We saw loads of sun flower fields in south west France when visiting a friend who lives near Toulouse. The Heather fields were in full bloom in Emily in Paris from what I remember. The kyaking looked great

I always get Camembert for christmas with toasted cabatta bread 👌 wish they just do mussels on own as not a fan of garlic or white wine on mussels, so i have to go to morrisons to get the fresh mussels from the fish counter

BTW the ‘correct’ way to eat mussels is to use a shell like tweezers to get the other mussels to eat from their shell. Not vey English. Loving these vlogs

Loving you vlogs from France, the best insect repellent is Avon Skin So Soft original dry oil. I have used it in Egypt, Spain and Cyprus and never been bitten even the armed forces use the oil to stop them getting bitten

Great locations, I’m so shocked at all the crap your eating with you saying you may have IBS . I’m under a consultant for many issues and if I ate what you do blinking hell I’ll be admitted to hospital. Test from m Amazon are scams best you get to your doctor for a true diagnosis Looking forward to you getting back to the van vlogs
