I'm so glad I saw this video while scrolling through YT. I have the free version of Logos 9 but wouldn't upgrade b/c I can't figure out how to navigate the free version. So, it sits occupying space on my hard drive. Didn't want to pay for it and never use it. Looking forward to this class next week. Thx!!
When I graduated from DTS (ThM - Christian Philosophy) with its logos library, my personal study was taken to another level. I write academic papers, and the references and cross-references are unparalleled.
I’ve been using Logos for a few years now. It was the software used for my school (Liberty University) but that wasn’t why I stayed with it. It’s complete. It’s just a great asset when you’re learning to decipher and interpret the Word. Fast and streamlined. The notes feature is a must have for study. For me anyway.
I have Logos, but it's confusing to me. But that is because it truly is A LOT! I also have the app on my phone, but it is not as extensive as the computer. But I look forward to this training. It should be extremely helpful.
I'm just glad you pronounce Logos correctly. I'm torn between Accordance and Logos, been using the limited editions without all the bells and whistles, not sure which I prefer, leaning slightly to Accordance because it seems easier to use.
You know, I went to Logos and created an account so I could download the software and begin trying it... I installed the software I downloaded from the website, and upon running it, it asked for me to enter in my email and password. I didn't but got an error message. so I clicked the "forget password" link so I could try resetting it to see if that would help. I got the link to do that sent to my email, but when I click that link they supplied, it just took me to a page that says that the link has already expired, LOL. I tried this a few times to no avail. I even went directly to the website to sign in there, and it was like I never created an account. Honestly, it seems like too much of a headache, and more trouble than it's worth. I'm going to just uninstall the software from my system, and find some other bible study resource. I still appreciate you taking the time to mention this option. But it simply isn't working for me; and I'm "too old" to keep trying to beat a dead horse, lol.
I had Logos years ago. It ate up my computer memory and slowed it down because the library was so large. Even on my phone it was impossible to navigate (think iPhone 7-10) Have they adjusted that?
Hi, I’m poor so I use Olive Tree, I once had a $300 Quick Verse but they sold out and it no longer ran on later versions of Windows 😢. The one thing I would want from OTree is NKJV keyed to Strongs. I get by with ESV keyed and a $30 Interliner Bible (and a magnifying glass) as I’m 66 for checking Greek and Hebrew in the NKJV with the Textus Receptus. Their other translations are relatively cheap so I have some of those too…hey beggars can’t be choosy praise God.✝️🙏❤️ Ps a good for what I’ve read of it, commentary for free online is Enduring Word. Seems to be pretty good, haven’t read it all though.
@@catholictruth102 hi, hey if you’ve got the money buy Logos, but OT has quite a bit of resource, unless you’re doing what Cory is doing most of us can get by, I’ve been 36 years at it, sometimes things frustrate me and I’d have a new MacBook and Logos if I could. It’s just what you can afford and the attitude of thanks and gratitude to God for what He’s given is the important thing.🙏
