I have a 3rd row from a suburban I've been kicking around the idea of cutting out the floor of a doner to allow them work in an 89 s10. And now I'm here...
Man I love what u do. Glad u went out of ur way to help out us lazy hot rudders lol. I've been makin my own seat brackets for years. I get I new square amd the first thing to go is all ways the seats lol. If I would stop buyin more trucks I could probably afford ur brackets lol. Keep up the amazing work!
Nice I'm about to upgrade my seats on the crusher... Love to install video with your seat brackets brother. So freaking cool man, I love the design alot and I get to weld 😉
Wish you could come up with a solution to adapt the 14-18 front seats too. Would love a folding mechanism for the front seats. Then you could buy a full set of a 14-18 Tahoe seats for your k5.
I found a set of black seats i am buying those weekend. Once i have them i will be buying your seat brackets... I have an 84 k5 with 454 and 8" lift. I already have my front seats bolted to floor.
I like the idea of the brackets. I will probably buy a rear set. If the front had an option for a manual slider or tilt I would probably get fronts too. I have 2015 Tahoe fronts. Gonna have to find a 3rd row 07-13 for the rear
@@MerricksGarage yah unfortunately I already the front Tahoe seats so I will have to build a slider or tilt into an adapter/mount. I def don’t want my kids trying to use the slow power slide forward every time they crawl in the back.
The interior will cost me a lot more than the swap but it’ll be worth it I went the Holley terminator x max route with a gen 4 5.3 but it’s still not all there I thinks it needs a tune still but there’s nobody in my area to do it, it feels nice but I can’t go over 35% throttle it doesn’t do anything for sum reason
I have the rear brackets and love them. Unfortunately the front ones are way out of my price range. Do you offer a discount if I purchased the front also?
Any plans on having an option with your front seat bracket for second row Honda Odyssey seats? They have integrated seatbelts and fold/slide forward function. Caught my eye. I am absolutely going to go with both of your brackets but cant decide on a front seat. #74Jimmy
I have a pair of your brackets they work amazing suburban is turned out great I was wondering if you know the weight of your suburban from the front bumper to the middle for your front half weight also what kind of two post lift and what weight lift did you use for your suburban thx
thanks man! Glad you like the brackets! My total weight is 8000 lbs. Not sure how it is split. I would get a 10k lift minimum. My Chinese lift (which I did a video on) was a little scary
@@MerricksGarage I did not see that video I must have missed it which is strange I think I watched just about every single one of your videos trying to figure out what my split weight is on my square body suburban but is torn apart at the moment and does not run what pound is your lift I was looking at 11,000 lb
Gonna have to order myself some of these brackets..... does the passenger side still have the option of tilting forward? Mines a 76 Jimmy that has that and mainly curious
Quick question buddy I have a 71K5 with a full custom cage with Seat mounts front and rear I’m looking for a little more height though these would look pretty cool on my build will the holes On your brackets lineup to corbeau Suspension seats?
That’s a great question. I have been going back and forth on my blazer for suspension seats or another set of BMW seats. What are the measurements and model of the seat? You can email me james@merricksgarage.com
Did you remove the link for the plans on this rear seat bracket? Been trying to track it down. The link I used to have to your plans doesn't work anymore.
@@MerricksGarage thanks for the heads up. I had bought seat brackets from LMC before I realized you still had weld them up yourself. Definitely need some front seat brackets…
A LOT of manufacturers will place this disclaimer on their products so they're not liable for a saftey deal in court. As he stated.... its up to u. But let's face it, look at the product, it aint flimsy and the welds look pretty solid but end game is my man aint the one doin the install.
Best thing to do is get two bench seat brackets ,and there's a video about 60/40 split seats in a c10. I did it on my 77 with newer seats same setup couple holes to drill
When I did my 91 conversion onto my 76 k5 I went to a junkyard and cut off the corners of the cab of a newer truck. Then graft them onto my firewall. Cut a slit to allow the hinge to drop in the cowl.
@@MerricksGarage these days he may not “own” a hybrid, he may BE a hybrid. Those seats may make him uncomfortable when he’s wearing his favorite skirt. 😆
