You NEED TO DO THIS for SEASON 2 of MLB The Show 24! 

I have no motivation to grind all over again for basically 2 cards, Chipper and Griffey, because by the time I unlock them it'll be season 3 and everything resets.

Definitely taking my time unlocking cards this time. I wouldn’t be surprised if I drop the game entirely by the end of Season 2

I would really like someone to explain the logic of this years setup: grind your ass off for some 87’s, wait a couple weeks, grind your ass off for some 91’s, wait a couple weeks, grind your ass off for some mid to shit 99’s, wait a couple weeks, reset the game, grind your ass off for some 89’s, wait a couple weeks, grind your ass off for some 93’s, wait a couple weeks, grind your ass off for some more mid to shit 99’s. Wait a couple weeks, start all over again. In between each of the grinds, get on the game and stare at the overpriced packs, stare at your stub count and ask yourself, do I really want to sit here and play “day trader” to make some stubs so I can buy some overpriced packs? I feel bad for the RU-vid guys because you can’t make this shit exciting.

First thing you do is, start the game, then once in the main menu, select any game mode that is not diamond dynasty, then play that mode. Easy as that.

As much as I want to play, there is 0 motivation. I completed EVERY SINGLE program last season and still didn’t even get enough XP to get one of the bosses. I simply won’t be playing until the start of part 3 from now on. I don’t understand why they keep trying to reinvent the progression. I got bored very fast last year but I atleast felt I was progressing.

There should be a way to grind a card to core it

😂…glad to hear you finally address the wildcard situation. I think whoever told you that we would start off with one was just wrong. All of their blogs made it pretty clear that you’d have to earn every wild card. 100% agree on the Event being a wasted opportunity for SDS to get creative with restrictions. It just feels like SDS isn’t understanding their player base and what we want.

Take a look at the grind, realize it’s “lather, rinse, and repeat” of season 1, question your own sanity for even thinking about starting this, then tell yourself “hey, in about 2 and half months, I can do this all over again for season 3”. Long live MLB the Show ‘20, ‘21, and ‘22

I accidentally somehow lost buxton in tbe team affinity trading for points. I saw it and it didn’t register. Now I can’t access any cornerstone captains from season one. I mostly used Santana and Ortiz anyway but dang it’s gone gone.

First time I bought an mlb that has a season 2. Glad I kept some live cards. I did get Eddie Murray in a pack but since he’s only like 15k thought I’ll keep him being a switch hitter. Ik about the wild card slot, but I thought you could select a guy right away to transfer to your team? I’m probably going with Profar

I unlocked one wild card slot from the XP reward path but there’s only 3 in total, why are there 4 wild card slots when there’s only 3 in the XP reward path. I already unlocked one

Dating back to mlb 15, I’ve never dropped the show until the end of the year but this may be the first time I do especially with ncaa around the corner. never ending grinding over and over each season just isn’t fun and everything behind expensive packs think Sony pushed the changes on sds and they ruined dd.

I have teir 3 baby faced assassin as my cap, players just hit bombs all day lol, imo the last season of year you should be able to use any cards! Wildcard was easy to get lol

I made a Buxton(wildcard) Castillo boosted team tier 3. It would be cool to see you try it out if you think it's up to snuff: Nolan Gorman 2b Elly de la Cruz ss David Peralta lf Luis Robert Jr. Rf Byron Buxton cf (nerfed wildcard) Gunnar Henderson 1b Euginio Suárez 3b Salvador Perez C Bryce Harper Dh Bench: (just for the boosts) Christian Walker, Sean Murphy, Seiya Suzuki, Freddie Freeman. They lack vision, but you use the bat for a PCI anyway, might be a fun squad for people to try out I'm sure I'm not the first and there maybe better players, I used what I had. I think it's pathetic that they split up the Team Affinity single player modes again for challenges. Why can't we just get missions for every game mode like we used to?

Took the 10kxp saves away in affinity season the hits and Ks in mini season the ones to go for. Only wish could use wild card Kershaw lefty boost combined with devers but can use in conquest and go for hits Ks there

If they’re going to do this those whole year they NEED to make the grind EASY LIKE ONE HIT P MOMENT EASY

Also maybe go for SP card first in affinity see a 10k Xp for 10 strikeouts repeatable and 5k for 500xp repeatable are easier with pitchers

Saved up to almost 800k, bought a few core cards and just using whatever I have. Will wait for the better Cards to spend the money. But I’m not grinding all the TA for 89s lol. They set it up to fail this had to be their big season. And they don’t care

The season awards program basically forces you to buy cards bc you have to gain parralel with s2 season awards but the only s2 awards card you can get for free is the one at the end of the program

Castillo with arenado as the wildcard makes your line up all 94-98s and insane offensively if you have most of the live series cards done. But you have to live with guys like judge and tucker in corner OF.

I've grinded a much different way this year built a Yankee team squad with both captain boost with all of them being core cards and p5d so I'll never have to worry about the season bs take that SDS becoming madden putting the best cards behind packs and hopefully they completely do away with this sets seasons bs once and for all next year I doubt it because well more money in their pockets..

Ok u watched the full videi and yeah its fucking bullshit about the wild cards , i tried to figure out wtf i couldnt get to of my wildcards on the field yesterday for a hour another mustake on sds

Literally not a single one of the cards besides the currently available 99's from s2 rewards/season path rewards is worth it right now. I have a full live series + castillo boosted team with all the best live series cards + babe ruth + posada wild card (amazing how cracked posada is, I think most people would unanimously agree he's the best bang for buck wild card and it's not even close since catcher is a notoriously weak spot, doubly so if you didn't do LA live series and you don't have Piazza. Posada is DIRT cheap for his performance). Why would I ever care about an 88 TA? The castillo boost is heads and shoulders ahead of the other boosts because it doesn't require you to use garbage cards like the devers or stanton boosts do. The buxton and arenado boosts from season 1 were heads and shoulders better than the non-castillo boost up to the point we started getting 99's because a majority of the big slugger cards had under 60 vision or low speed so they applied for the boost. Cards like live series mookie, ohtani, judge, yordan were already the best cards in the game at the start of the season. Now with the boost it's not even close, nothing else can compare. I literally laughed at people who unironically were worried about the carlos santana boost moving into season 2 with people wild carding him. Why would you ever do that? There are literally a garbage assortment of switch hitters currently out. I just don't get how SDS works at all. Anyone who got babe ruth and has all the live series cards, gets literally ZERO upgrades in season 2 until we get to the 75% mark of season 2 where 99s are released. I will say the online play right now is definitely more refreshing than seeing every single opponent running santana switch boosts, so there's that. But in terms of that incentive to unlock new stuff and grind, there is none currently. They completely lied about the 2nd wild card slot too, we were told if we do all the programs we would start the game with two, not one, wild card. But that's typical SDS.

Also the people who play online and win WS early winning the best rewards are LITERALLY HACKERS, not software hacking, hardware hacking. I watched this guy's video talking about hitting etc. He explained while showing online gaming. How people hit the ball when you place it in say way up inside, or a change up down and out, but yet they knock it out, pitch after pitch. They use stick rings, and something Else I forget what he called it. But you add them to your controller and it literally makes it so you barley move your stick and it hits a zone perfectly. They use stick swing also with a sling shot ring or whatever to make power swings perfect also. So it's pretty gay

But i do enjoy the grind when i do play and obtaining some of the legendary players that i am able to get. The game is supposed to be fun. If you dont have fun when you play then dont play the game

I have played some season 2 mini seasons and some of the teams have the new bosses and the season collection 11:51 bosses how is this possible you can't have earned enough xp in 2 days and as for season bosses their aren't enough season 2 cards to get the bosses yet so the claim that you are playing other people's teams is false

As an offline grinder season 1 I got to 700k so no bosses....I did get all 3 collection rewards in Brett, Satch & Mays (who I'm hitting amazing with & I'm shocked). Only programs I didn't complete were Lou Jackie & the Egg...no storylines either cuz they bore me. I hope to at least get to the 95s of the bosses I'll be happy...but I doubt I make it cuz I'll fade away

First off. I have the wildcard slot unlocked and it still won't let me use it. So, why have it ? I've been trying for 20 mins to use a wildcard and it will NOT allow it no matter what I do. So, the wildcards are a fuckin lie. Shit like this, I can't wait for college football now. I'm definitely going to stop playing this trashy ass fucked up game that won't even let you use your wildcards. What a fuckin trashy game man. Unbelievable.
