We suffer because the things of man and the things of God are in opposition towards another. We seek the lower road, the shorter road, the logical and material road while God desires to have us on the spiritual road, the higher road, the longer road. Our pride must be abolished in order to let God truly envelop us. It is a sort of death, and thus it is quite painful.

The older i grow and the more loss i taken the colder i am becoming i simply dont care about anyone anymore the one and only mother i always have and still love and been the closest too is starting to fade away from me more and more shes starting to care less and so do i the more fights we have the more sick i am of having to deal with people overall because nobody has ever cared the only relationship i have now is with god and i feel completely fine.

God is not a nice guy. He is a very tough CEO. No one really likes Him. We respect Him but we do not like Him at all. To "Love" Him , He just means we keep His commandments. We don't have to have warm feelings towards Him.

I occasionally also feel like this, but I know it is not true. This is how you slowly build up resentment towards God and ultimately cast Him aside. To be truly saved means to understand you are not saved by following the commandments, but by accepting Jesus’s love. The rest comes after. I’m working on it myself, it’s very difficult but we’ll get there

@@luked4996 This resentment will never go away because the Truth is - we are here to suffer and play out the story he has pre-destined for us. He also is responsible for creating us in spite knowing full well that we would disobey Him. Sounds like He set up humanity to get themselves into trouble and then act as the Savior to bail us out. Problem - Reaction - Solution cycle. I respect Him fully as a CEO but make no bones about it - no one actually likes Him.
