If you clicked on this video I just want to warn you because you might've just stumbled into the best place for Ranger Reject content. This guy is legit. Slap the buttons!
This isn’t for everyone, but I like how the sides are not exactly black and white. As D’s perspective on the world grows and complexifies, so does his goals and what he deems right and wrong. He sees how he and his views aren’t respected by both the Dragon Keepers and the Executives, so he rejects both and chooses his own path. As much as people say the story lacks action (and being honest it kinda does), I’m really digging the internal conflicts happening.
Ok so I read all of the current Ranger Reject chapters over the course of the weekend after seeing a short saying the manga was good and talking about the anime trailer drop. It might be my favourite manga of all time. The theme, ideas, characters, plot, pacing, art, designs etc all just jam with me. I hope Ranger Reject becomes the next Spy X Family or Chainsaw Man in popularity. I mean, that’s unlikely as both mangas were popular before the animes came out but a man can dream. Love the video. We need more representation for this underrated manga
Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, Ranger is currently one of my favourite weeklies because of how engaging it is, and how much the complicated world intrigues me. It continues to pull me in deeper and I'm so invested in the outcome now! Need to see it all come together.
I can confirm that after an year, our wish has become a fleeting dream since the anime is only exclusive to,you guessed it,the evil mouse corporations streaming platform.........it's going to bcome the summertime rendering/heavenly delusional of 2024💀
This shit just so happens to match my tastes. Some guy with no powers at all just does awesome stuff! I dont want no op stuff or rags to riches! This! Powerlessness, hopelessness this embodies my life perfectly ! But with no hopes or dreams@@Anime_Roulette
“She slices his head off but don’t worry he gets better” hahaha It’s like I’m watching one of those early 2000s Jeremy Clarkson’s straight to DVD auto videos
I like the complexity of the manga. At one point, i thought the Rangers were bad but after reading, not all of them, especially the Green Batalation. Recent chapters show us the entrance to the rabbit hole. I am excited to see how deep the rabbit hole it is.
@@leonhartono1400 Literally only some of the Dragon Keepers/Rangers are assholes. People from Batallions can´t even be considered bad. Society started being molded so being a "ranger" could be profitable as a lifestyle/idea. We need to know more about Akabane as a character, but so far he is one of the few monster rangers out there, in terms of being weak emotionally. Yellow for me at least is the worst one, he could be considered the reason all of the plot happens, being responsible for the crap that the keepers/invaders went through.
@@assasinsjoe5611 Apparently he wanted to start off with this type of genre but was talked into doing something much more safer like quintessential quintuplets first
I legit have no clue why they didn't go with "Ranger Reject" for the official english title; it sounds a lot cooler and it's what the reader base was already calling it anyways
@@andrewbrasfield1104 They could have easily called it "Dungeon Meals" to keep the same tone and word count, but alas, the people in charge are often missing a few marbles.

Go Go Loser Ranger or RR (Ranger Reject) avoided a mistake many subversive stories like this fall into where the Good guys faction is actually bad and the bag guy faction is actually good, it doesn't fall into the whole reversing the black and white nature of the original source material they're referencing. Regardless of their species, faction, alignment or beliefs each character is grey, from the idealistic fool thriving for a perfect world to the dirty and horrible psycho using all in their power to manipulate everyone around them, The rangers has horrible and some of the most deprived people among their ranks, even up to the level of their leaders the dragon keepers and the invader faction isn't freed from this as well, they have cowards that let fate control them and stagnate, never wanting to get a better live, truly twisted members among them, the ones who have doubts about reality and such, even the commanders have different aspects to their character although they do mostly remain on the villainous side with them wanting to conquer earth, but D does represent to thesis of what this story is writing, as someone who's twisted, conniving, cunning, and plays dirty using the mask of an ideological idiot, slowly transforming the image of his mask into a leader who will do everything in his power to complete the mission, a surprisingly charismatic one but still a piece of shit in how he fights, although most people in this series do fight in an underhanded way which explains why the person D is impersonating never got far in his life as a ranger, he was ripped right out of a sentai, someone who would be an idealistic sentai member, yet he's not one, in fact he's considered a failure I am very much looking forward to what kind of stories this world will continue to bring us
I read around 70 chapters of this manga. Nothing's happening most of the time. For a sentai inspired manga, you expect a lot of action but no. Good premise but boring execution.
*Emiya Archer is my favorite hero than Sentai Rangers. Sentai Rangers’ concept of heroism seems lacking. Being a hero is pretty much of a whole journey itself. That’s why I genuinely hate them.*
I’ve been really enjoying ranger reject finished volume seven recently. Love hisui’s jaw thing and the build up during the test was great. Initially got into it since I just like sentai related stuff like astrofighter sun red
This series slaps really hard, but i have no idea how the manga will be able to carry the story forward without making the mc stronger bc so far hasn't received any sort of buffs that allow him go toe to toe with and keeper nor comander
And I know that the point of his character is that he's not supposed to get stronger bc he is a minion. But I would like to see a creative way for him to bridge that powerscaling gap. Bc so far he's just been lucky with winning his fights.
Friendship between D and Hisui is so wholesome. I love their dinamic, especially when she learns his true identity. (i mean, it has to happend, i didn't spoiled anything)
This was released well and truly before the anime dropped. If you want my opinion on the anime: so far, pretty good! Episode 4 was shaky due to the massive cuts, but it's been a decent adaption otherwise, so far. So watch or read it, your choice!
I find it funny I got 2 of my friends, who don’t like anime in general, kind of hooked on the series after telling them its basically power rangers if they where the seven and then binging the entire anime in one night. Now they’re asking when season 2 is coming out
I hate how a lot of modern Anime bites/rips off concepts and designs from other IP's that aren't even a decade old yet, the "inspiration" is taking less and less time to the point its just thievery.
Nice, this story reminded me of the Yatterman universe. Yatterman is a legacy title that has been around for a LONG time of heroes and whatnot but in the 2010's they turned it upside down similar to this. The Yattermen saved the world and started to protect the world but generations later they became a corrupt power that over polices the world and the family lines of villains/former villains aren't treated well. the MC loses her mother and swears to battle the Yattermen as a villian but still a child haha, anyways one of the people chasing her is revealed to be a clone of someone that respawns everytime he's killed but the original is long gone so long story short the clone guy's original was her father that was captured and turned and killed. the final clone risks it all and dies saving her at one point. From my memory it presented itself in a lighthearted way but comparing this to any other Yatterman story is a complete 180 lol.
@@RamonChiNangWong078 The title was called "Yoru no Yatterman" or Yatterman Night, I watched it when it was airing and its been awhile so might have a few things here and there differently
I think my favorite thing about this after watching the anime this season. Is its the same guy who did Quintessential Quintuplets now i feel i need to read his other work Karma of Purgatory
even with 5-toubun, Negi showed their skill in dropping hints and clues to the story as it goes on, as well as amazing character writing glad to see that has not disappeared, only improved with Ranger Reject.
So far we never gotten a mech mainly because rangers don't need them and there's no giant enemies for them to fight. Though the future death Goliath foot solider who is gigantic and being revived seems to indicate a future mechazord fight. Though it is not confirmed yet but it does seem to have plans for it.
Where are you guys able to find this to read online? Everytime i look it up i get websites that have a ton of pop ups and ads that are annoying and take me away from the manga.
It get really good 20 chapters in, just saying. Pay attention to the small details and you will be rewarded when it's finally clicked. My favourite quote in the manga: "This was all forshadowed"
@bullymaguire7341it's already good from chapter 1 tho, but I guess this tiktok generation with their short attention span can't even handle 1 chapter, damn this generation is cooked 😭
I liked it, just super disappointed while everyone gets power ups the author keeps D weak as hell. He doesn't have to make his power stronger if D just used it more intelligently or tried thinking about it more then he would easily be a force to be reckoned with. Author also fumbled the pink ranger and her brother.
I'm NGL... this shit is ASS and I wasted too much time reading it just to see it turn into a power-of-friendship shounen! Idk why mangaka hate writing unapologetically evil characters. Imagine how much worse Death Note would be if Light Yagami one day talked to a death row convict and decided criminals weren't such bad people and decided to stop killing people and instead tried to pursue some other goal using the power of friendship with his new criminal friends.
The are unapologetically evil characters. All the excutive are pure evil, for example. Red Ranger is a psychotic douchebag while Yellow, without spoiling anything, is an inredeemable bad guy.
