@@nicotang5583 they may well be but I'm just a little fellow and I m still breathing lol personally, I think big cities at night can be a bit riskier... having said that ,it's New Zealand and if your a bit of an egg. There's a good chance someone will sit you down 😂🌺💯🇳🇿 I try to just be friendly and try to avoid vulnerable situations 🤠🐈🐈‍⬛ ...I love the warmth of the north.

@@fiwalker6690 I heard Invercargill is the worst town in NZ. Is it true? I mean I live in Austria and I like the moderate climate. The south island would be perfect for me bc it's not too hot or too cold for me. Sometimes here in Austria it can be -15°C in the winter. Luckily NZ is not so poisonous like the country next to that. But i think NZ has many natural disasters like earthquakes or tropical storms.

You two really have seen parts of NZ that most Kiwis don't bother to visit. The look on Mado's face when Glen points out the German Apple Pie is $7 - Priceless😁🤣 Dargaville is not exactly a tourist town - I love how Glen always sees the best in everything - God bless you Glen😊

Did you guys hear about the kiwi that knocked on a guys door in Wellington earlier this year? Guy thought it was a cat. Leonardo Dicaprio commented about it on social media too. The kiwi have just in the last 12 months been reintroduced to the parks around Wellington because it's safe for them now in Wellington.

Donnelley’s Crossing was the northern terminus of the Dargaville branch railway back in the day, to take out logs & farm products.

Kaiwi lake is the water is ankle shallow for 12metres then plummet into deep water, suddenly be careful 😊but the area is stunning and you can circumnavigate around the lake by hiking

Kiwi birds go silent when you get near them in the bush I’ve found the best way to see them is to just sit quietly in the dark and wait for them to get comfortable with you being around, then you turn your red light on once they start making noises again , I’ve had them within two metres of me without noticing them until the started squawking again

Out side of Dargavile is the Kauri Museam well worth a visit hope it is still there such a long time ago i was there.

Glen only replace the w with the f if the word is starting with (wh) so for example wairoa you pronounce why-roa and then whangaroa (fanga-roa) so wh=f and w=w nga mihi me nga haerenga haumaru (thank you and safe travels)

Dargaville, where you could have stayed at my nieces farm just out of town for 3 weeks, while they visited the USA, had you stayed in NZ a bit longer. Would have been a good base for your Northland tour. Never mind.

Kauri is heavily protected due to a disease that was killing the trees and I’ve also looked for kiwis at Trounson but didn’t see any. It’s a pity you didn’t have more time to explore Northland and go to places like Mangonui, Rawene and Russell, and you so should have popped down to the Stonestore in Kerikeri, the setting is stunning.

Great pronunciation of Tane Mahuta Mado. Hope you still get to Bay of Islands, Russell, KeriKeri. Kauri Trees started experiencing what they named Kauri die back recently. When white people came they started chopping down all the kauri trees to build ships and houses and furniture and ship masts. Can you imagine how it mustve looked with untouched kauri forests. Farmers ploughing fheir fields churn up big clumps of golden kauri gum sometimes which is also desirable

I'd say the land looked magical :( imagine getting to experience that now! thats an experience of a lifetime but most of the trees are gone now unfortunately :(

It was a shame they cut down all those pine tress up at the second camp on the opposite end of that lake. I guess they prefer the barren and dry look. (it might have been a safety hazard too I guess). But it used to look amazing when the forest was there.

Bit of a shame that camera's don't really do Tane Mahuta justice, you really have to see it with your own eyes to appreciate the girth of the tree.
