Such a good game, I think it stands confidently alongside 3S. Really wish that 70% completed sequel had come out...

Garou really is a gem people look over. It’s sprite work is magnificent, the gameplay is amazing and the characters are golden

Garou was always MY 3rd Strike at the time. When everyone else in my friends group was playing 3rd Strike? I was playing Garou. I just found this game to be so much better and more enjoyable. And now that it has beautiful rollback netcode, it reinvigorated my love for the game once again.

Amazing game man, Garou is one of my all time favorites. I can't tell you how many hours i put into this game back on the Dreamcast playing against my brother and our friends. Still play it on Steam semi regularly. The game is an underrated gem. I've personally always liked it more than 3S honestly.

Garou is a masterpiece, and it now has rollback on steam. I really believe everyone should play it, it’s legit so so good, and watching top level gameplay of it it’s incredible.

You've definitely got to fight Kain. You've already fought so many of the broken SNK Bosses, its only fitting.

I played the crap out of this game on the Dreamcast unlocking all the characters' real endings. Justin, the one thing you need to master in the game is Just Defend cancelling into supers. The game is easy to beat once you get the timing down.

I always liked her shoe slap super. Like "aight, shoe's comin off now!"

In Fightcade 2, there is a good community: not very big, but solid, 50-70 stable players. There are great players in North America: WitheGriffith (USA, only Rank S!!!!), Jean Carlo Pichi (MX), Lodley (USA), Kaine_Ai (MX), Dui (USA), Magnus (MX), Dagger (USA), and several others. I recommend playing against any of them so that they understand the technical depth that can be reached in this game. I hope you can give it a try. PD: I want to mention other Latin American players, in case you want to challenge them: Edansaga (CL), Morkman_Freeman (ARG), Crooked (ARG), Master Drawa (CL), Kusnohood Batto (PR), Heavy Daze (ARG), Loose Genius (PR ).

I pick this over any Street Fighter any day even 3rd strike

Garou is in my top 3 fighting games of all time. 1. Garou 2. Third Strike 3. MvC2 Honorable mentions to KoF98, X-Men v Street Fighter, CvS2, and SvC Chaos. Last Blade 2 is pretty rad too.

This game is one of those special games for me, it's so good and I still can't understand how SNK managed to get a game that looks this good on the Neo Geo. The only 2D fighter from the 90's that looked better was SF3 and that was on newer hardware.

I fuckin love Mark of the Wolves! It's kinda broken but Ill always love it being on the verge of death and then just defending someones chip out super, and getting like 40% health back, and winning? That's a good feeling :D

Garou: (Fatal Fury) Mark of the Wolves is still a great game nowdays, I hope Justin revisits the game in it's single player as he failed to beat it (as long as the game doesn't let you continue playing after beating Grant, means that you lost in the end), at least this is NOT Kaiser Knuckle were the game is too hard overall. I'm very rusty in this game to play online to be honest, and I doubt I can get on shape anymore (well, maybe with Hotaru I could... but still...). Edit: what the chat said to you is not 100% true, the part that you have to 1-credit beat everyone including Grant is true, but you need to get at least 750,000 score and average of AAA rank to Miracle (preferable BEFORE getting to fight Grant). Fail on any of those 3 conditions (1-credit run, the score or your average rank is not at least AAA) you lose, Game Over...

This was my first snk game and introduced me to the rest of fatal fury and king of fighters. Man I love this game to death

Mark of the wolf was awesome. Just defend was not perfect but still fun and easier than third strike parries. Nearly every characters were great and fun. Not many fighting games now are like that

Dis game is probably one of the best arcade games out there, yet it's underrated. The thing that hooked me up about this game was it's characters, graphics and the gameplay, all the characters have a really good story of their own, also there sprites and animation are FANTASTIC, the gameplay is really simple yet it's really fun, that's all that i like about this game, this game is MASTERPIECE!

Kaaaaain. Also I remember a couple of the garou fighters came to KOF XI on ps2. Pretty sure they were all broke (along with Duck King). Also, where was Uncle Terry? The actual MC, did it Indiana Jones style - Rock MC? Not yet, hold my hat.

Funny thing is rock doesn’t even suck. He’s got amazing mix up tools and turtling options. He just has to win neutral more without meter. It’s a common misconception that the bottom 3 are actually bad, they’re just the only characters without a comboable break move so they’re just objectively worse than everyone else despite being B+ tier.

I don't know why the bonk sound effect you use is so funny, but when combined with the visual edit it cracks me up every time

Something interesting is this game, on the Dreamcast, loaded it's audio in real time for the moves off of the disc. So my friend would go into training mode with the TV turned down and would practice combos, and all I could hear was the clicking of the joystick and the Dreamcast arm seeking quickly every time he did certain moves. The noises really bring back memories ❤️

This is one of my all-time favourite fighting games and my favourite SNK fg from the 90s the feint cancel combos are amazing to pull off the soundtrack is great and every character is really fun and has a nice theme and their back-story is also nice. Garou: MOTW alongside Tekken 3 is one of the few games that managed to pull off a time jump succesfully albeit to a less extent.

Jenet is so charismatic and fun to play! She was my main in KOF XI and I hope she comes as DLC in KOF XV.

This game is so dope I hate that nobody plays this online, it’s so rare to find a match.

I really love Garou. Funny thing is I discovered it at random after downloading a Kawaks. Wish I didn't suck at fighting games cause just watching the cancels from competitive players really makes you want to play it on their level. Also it has the best Terry outfit of all.

Glad Wong finally decided to highlight this classic. Garou is a blast to play.

This game is absolutely amazing. It’s one of the few fighting games where I learned the majority of the case. Favorite characters were Kain, Hotaru, and Jae Hoon. Kain is probably my favorite charge character all time on any game.

Rock Howard's song has a bit from a famous song, Children - Robert Miles. The composer is a fan of him.

Graphically the SNK version of 3rd Strike would be Art of Fighting 3 and it came out 2 years before the 1st Street Fighter 3

Man do I love this game. I also think that it's the SNK equivalent of 3rd Strike, they are pretty similar in terms of concept.

Gato and Tizoc has their KoF debut too, in 2003 then was even in KoF 11 :"D Really loved the Garou Terry in 2003 too

It took Capcom three tries to make Third Strike It took SNK one to make Mark of the Wolves

By the way if you wanna do a treat to your viewers Gato has counter move Like Guile from SF moonlights kick but is with punch when done it will counter enemies attacks and headbut them into the air, if timed right u can follow up with gatos double circle forward kick (Desperation move)(s) or (p) version. dunno if you would but just wanna leave a fancy move to do to share :D

I freaking love Garou. Like some other comments said, you have to fight Kain! You can't lose any rounds, but you also have to take note of the grades and see how they're going to round up. Some sources said that you need above AAA per round, and some said that you need an S average. I checked on my screenshots and found that getting an S average is more true. The dirty method that I always use is just to get at least one or two miracles on the first couple of rounds, then try to not get anything below A on the next rounds. Surprisingly works for me, even when I have one record with a B in it.

I actually played this via neogeo emu on my phone, touch screen controls were okay...it's one of the fighting games that I really love... You can even do infinites on the training moves( use the cop character).. my fave are the 2 kids of Kim Kaphwan, especially the lightning user

The sickest game SNK has ever created with the sickest main character design ever; a shame Rock sucks here tho, low HP and his faint cancel paths are useless, but I used him a lot because I simply liked his design, as well as other characters. Garou is great.

Nice video. Have you ever played Real Bout Fatal Fury: Dominated mind?? Besides Mark of the Wolves, it's the only fatal fury game that doesnt have the plane shift system. It also has Final impact and Advance guard. I bring it up because it's a very underrated fighting game and it's actually pretty good.

The high level play for this game is absolutely insane.

If you ever wanted to play 3s, but wished: 1) the parry system wasn't broken 2) there was a guard break in the game 3) normals linking into each other like older sf games existed 4) specials could fadc THIS IS YOUR GAME! Seriously, the game is so sf-ish, but better.

Garou Terry style is insane

The comparison to 3s is right on… the mechanics of garou are deeper than most snk titles and you spend a good amount of time playing out of the neutral. It may not look as flashy as KOF but it is deceptively deep when you play at higher levels.

3rd strike done right. Even without the cast that made Fatal fury what it was. Terry's story continuing and a whole new cast of characters, it was a great game. It's funny how sf3 could be so different and shunned upon release because the cast but motw was praised.
